"I see leaves."

"We're under a tree"

"Yeah, I know."

"Trees are cool."

"Yup, they sure are."

Heaven's feet were next to my head, and Vanessa's the same. We were all laying on the squishy ground staring at the tree shading over us. Soccer players have been around us a couple times, but we've been way to lazy to move our butts. Besides, if I did get hit in the head, I would have been laughing anyways.

"PFFFFFFFFFT." Heaven scrambled up and spat out all of the grass she could. Then something touched my head, and I jerked up. My forehead bumped into someone's nose, but I still ran around like crazy, shaking my head to make sure that the "unknown substance" was clean off of my head.

After a long period of head shaking, I saw the suspects of the scene. Two boys stood there mocking our reactions. Why, of course it would be Randy and Sean. Idiots. Randy was rubbing his nose, though. Thank you very much universe for once again, almost killing this boy. Twice. I just leave myself always asking,"Why do I like him again?"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Sean screamed like a kindergartener. Heaven rolled her eyes, and Vanessa rolled around the grass laughing. My hair flopped onto my face, but I untangled it and tied it back up.

I followed Heaven into the bathroom-not like that. She looked in the mirror as I stood in the doorway waiting for her. When she finished we both went outside together and headed for the basketball courts. Vanessa saw and followed us too.

"Heeeey where ya goin'?" Sean was pacing behind us, making me want to run away. Randy pulled the back of his shirt and gave him a little chat. "Quick, now's our chance to get out of here," Heaven whispered loudly. Vanessa shrugged and did an awkward prance towards the cafeteria, while I ran with my legs flinging around in the air and hands waving like I just don't care. Some people laughed, which made me laugh, which makes more people laugh because my laugh is weird.

Heaven just walked casually, which made her look 100% more different from us two maniacs. I'm still glad that, you know. She's herself. Too cheesey? Which brings me right back to food. Which I'm not even sure this school has.

Our line was called up first, followed by Vanessa's. Heaven's class had to stay back due to crazy boys running all over the place while jumping around like leprechauns. As I walked into the cafeteria  I saw Heaven shrinking, desperately in need of freedom. She put her hand out, mouthing the words, Help me. I mouthed back an I'm sorry, and disappeared into the musky air filled room.
