I hate the way you hide

Park Jimin was popular. He was loved. He was beautiful, chased after, sought out. But Jimin wasn't as perfect as everyone thought. She knew it better than anyone. She had chosen a small town for her new life, senior year was important. Somehow, she had to go out with a bang.

When she got there, she laughed. It was almost as if Park Jimin had painted a target on his forhead, he was too loud, too bright to not be targeted. She knew, he was beautiful, she wondered if he would be as pretty in death.

Like all her targets, she followed him, she followed and learned. She found out something she probably should have, and in the dark, she mocked him. 'He's so loved, but if they knew, they'd leave.' Just like her, just like her, just like her.

She scoffed every time she passed him and his group. 'I know your dirty little secret' she thought. 'I know how you spent weeks in a hospital for a eating disorder, I know how insane you are. But not as insane as me.' No one could even begin to imagine that the quiet purple eyed girl was drenched in darkness.

No one knew what she was like. Life was only pain to her. She felt it and wanted to inflict it back. Throw it, rain it down on the world in torrents. Suffer as she had suffered. So she watched and she waited.

High school was a menace. She hated it almost as much as she hated the three boys that would be the predecessors to Jimin. She thought maybe, her senior year of high school would be the year she made a bang. So she started talking to Jimin.

She should be an actress, her words and woes so beautifully portrayed. She had a silver tongue. And so she became Park Jimin's best friend. No one would suspect her when she was finished.

The thing about Jimin was that he hid from everyone while being out in the open. She hid sometimes too, but not like this. Who hides in the light? She hated it, she hated him. Like every other boy before, she hated.

She befriended him, but she betrayed him, when she sat all alone by herself after breaking into the art room. She decided that she would make his death as beautiful as possible. Then maybe he wouldn't have to hide anymore.

She stayed with him one last time, her most peaceful kill, poison, painted on her own lips. So when he died, he was smiling, and the scarlet v was painted in lipstick on his cheek.
