"Hey, Percy?" Annabeth prompted, a concerned expression on her face. The two did Annabeth's strategy of simply hugging the left side of the wall, as in theory, it would eventually lead them to an exit. Now, how many exits did this place have? How long would it take them to find Luke's entrance? Neither of the two had any sort of idea, but it was better than just being sat at camp, waiting for the inevitable. At least here they could actually do something.
"Yeah, Sup, Annabeth?" Percy asked, his hand firmly planted into the wall as he walked.
"That's the deal with you and Thalia? I mean, you guys have fought before, but it hasn't seen as.. real, before. Like, usually I can tell that it's all in good fun but this time it was like-" Annabeth was cut off by Percy, who gave her a pretty stoic response at first.
"She was being stupid, so I called her out on it, that's all there is to it." Percy had an air of finality to his words, but Annabeth Chase was not one to just give up on something like that easy. She stopped, and since she was in front of Percy, he stopped as well. She turned to face The Son of Poseidon, a frown evident on her face.
"Oh don't give me that, fish face. That's not all there is to it, and you know it!" She pointed at Percy, whose cheeks reddened in embarrassment.
"You're my friend, Annie, and she was gettin' all up in your face; accusing you of things. I got upset." He muttered. Annabeth motioned for them to sit down, which he did. They had been walking for quite a while, anyway. The two were sit shoulder to shoulder, talking.
"Well, it's not like there wasn't a reason for her not to trust me. I did some horrible things, Percy Jackson. Turned against people I considered family, hell, we technically are family. And I threw it away for some, dumb crush." The Daughter of Athena sighed at her own idiocy. It was a wonder she was even allowed back at camp at all. She was dragged out of her thoughts by Percy, who pat her head a couple times, to which the girl raised an eyebrow. "What the Hades was that, dude?"
"I saw it in a couple cartoons, thought it'd help." The two looked at each other for a moment, before breaking our into a laughter. Gods, they were so weird! Percy had tears in his eyes, he was laughing so hard. Then, as soon as it broke out, the laughter stopped, and the two sat in silence a moment, before Percy broke it. "I'm scared, Annabeth."
"Bout what, Seaweed Brain?" She asked, her head tilted slightly to the side.
"About, me and Thals. Throughout the years, I guess I've noticed.. She's more god, I'm more Demi." He muttered, to which Annabeth snorted.
"You're uh, gonna need to explain there chief." She said, and gently bopped him on the shoulder.
"Don't laugh! This is serious Percy now." Annabeth muttered an: 'oh', then let him continue to talk. "It's just-Like-Ya know? I go back to my moms place during the winter seasons. I go to school, I do normal people stuff. I haven't really stayed over the school year since after the whole missing weapons thing. And every year I come back, and Thalia.. She feels less and less like a person, and more and more like a hero from Ancient Greek stories, if that makes sense." Annabeth nodded along, as she did get where he was coming from. "How long till she goes from Thalia Grace, Demi-God Daughter of Zeus to: Thalia Grace, Goddess of Thunder and savior of Asgard?"
"Well, I suppose that depends on if Rick ever decides to write her into that continuity."
"What?"
