Will's POV

My hands shook on the handlebars as I rode. Of course that's where he was going. Even when he didn't talk to her for two days he seemed gloomy. I stared at the cement in front of me as I rode, clearly not paying attention. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice calling my name.

"Will!" Spoke the redhead. I looked up to see Max Mayfield waving her hand at me. Though the smile quickly faded off her face as she saw me, clearly unhappy. She walked up to me with a confused look. I stared at the ground, ashamed. Of what? I don't know. It was all a big mass of resent and careless actions. Why did he have to go run off with El every five fucking seconds? I was snapped out of my thoughts as Max called my name once again. I looked up at her and cast her an unconvincing smile. She put on a face of sympathy. I could tell she understood. She always did.

Suddenly I walked up to her and wrapped her in my arms. I buried my face in her shoulder. I always knew I was strong. Strong people can be sad, too.

She wrapped her arms around me, too. We stood there, simply enjoying each other's company. It was almost like she could read my mind. She stood there, reading my mind like a book. Every second passed, and she understood more and more.

3rd person POV

Just by the way he held her,  the way his chin rested on her shoulder. Of course, at one point she let go of him. They stared into each others eyes, and with that she grabbed his hand very gently and led him into her house. He followed her willingly and finally they stepped foot into her room. The sun decorated the floor with strange light shapes and dust particles could be seen. He sat down on her bed as she closed. the door. She was home alone, but it was just better that way. She started to pace the floor in front of him.

"You know this is about-"

"Mike." She finished for him, continuing to pace and stare at the floor. Will looked at the ground. I wonder how he's doing, he thought.

Mike's POV

I knocked on the doors to El's cabin. Hopper was till at work, so El and I could do... whatever we want. I thought about my encounter with Will. He seemed a bit strange. I hate seeing him like that. Confused. Sad. Scared even. I know he's strong, stronger than any of us. He's been through shit that none of us will ever go though... hopefully. Just then, El opened the door. She looked at me with wide eyes.

"You okay?" I asked. She continued to look at me. I waved my hand in front of her face.

"Why haven't you been here in so long?" She asked.

"School was really stressful for the past couple days, I wanted to see you but I couldn't. Not with the amount of work I had." I continued, slightly rambling. She looked at me sympathetically, and  I smiled back at her. She moved aside in the door and let me through.

3rd person POV

"He's just so fucking cute. Like why does he have to do that?" Will paced the floor of Max's room, venting to her as she listened to him. She was one of the only people- scratch that- the only person who could listen to him talk like this. He grabbed his hair in frustration and continued his back-and-forth walking of anger. Thoughts got jumbled in his mind, ones of passion, some of weakness.

"When was the last time you talked to him?" Max asked, sitting on her bed, eating cheetos. She listened intently to him, her eyes bulging at him. Will thought about his recent encounter with Mike, and explained it word for word to Max. She sat there, wide-eyed, as he angrily spat out the words. He grabbed his hair in fists and yelled, not in anger but in longing. he longed to be the one for Mike, not El. God, El. Yeah, he loved her, but she was such a problem. She was always so clingy with Mike, and never wanted to do anything. If Mike was at Will's house and El wanted to hang out, Mike had to say yes otherwise she'd get angry and suppose Mike wanted nothing to do with her.

Max watched Will walk back and forth and back and forth, and finally she got sick of it.

"Drop everything," she said, "we are getting you that boy." Will's face stiffened and he stopped walking. "W-what do you mean?" he asked.

"We are going to El's house and you are going to tell him your feelings!" Max said. Will shook his head. No, I'm not. I'm sorry, but I'm not ready for that." And he was right. He was string, yes, but he didn't want to ruin their friendship in case Mike didn't like him back, which he probably didn't.

Probably.

Mike's POV

"So what? He's my. best friend, and you don't get to decide my actions! I can spend time with him if I want! Just because I'm dating you doesn't mean I don't have time for anybody else!" I screamed at El, her face contorted with rage. I told her about the day before, which I had spent with Will.

El pointed her finger aggressively at me. "But I'm your girlfriend! You should spend more time with me than with other people! You said that I am more than a friend! Those were your words!"

"That does not give you more worth than a friend!"

"Well it should!"

"Well it doesn't! And frankly, Will is a better friend than you'll ever be!" And it were those words that El couldn't take it anymore. She lifted a plate with her mind and smashed it across my head. I winced and grabbed the side of my face. "You're crazy!" I managed to spit out as I stormed out of that hell-hole for good.
