Ch. 4

We had dinner until I saw something. It was my old friend Jack! I ran over to him. When he saw me, he picked me up in the air spinning me in a circle. He put me down and we hugged. I asked him what he was doing in New York, and he said he heard that I was here. We talked for a while and exchanged each others phone numbers. I gave him a hug and he kissed me on the cheek " Bye Hails!" he whispered yelled in my ear.
My mother and me went back to the hotel after that. I had gotten ready for bed and went to sleep. ( I still have my crutches on at this point in story if wondering)
I woke up the next morning to the smell of coffee. Boy do I love me a cup of coffee ☕️😊. Me and my mother had coffee on the outside porch of our hotel and I had to get ready for my interview. I threw on some sweatpants and a tank and jacket with my vans and threw my hair in a bun, because they get me all dolled up there. And off we went to Studio1A (sorry I watch the Today Show way too much Lol)!
When we got there they set me down in a chair where they did my makeup and hair, and then later they told me to change into this outfit, so I did. Boy was I some type of super model even with a broken leg!
They told me to go sit down on the orange couch and wait till they started rolling. I saw Matt Lauer and Savannah Gunthrie. I almost freaked out! But I didn't because my nervousness level was already too high. They told me they were rolling in five. As they said that Savannah sat right across from me on the curved orange couch. She said hi to me and I said hi to her and I told her I was a big fan and she gave me a hug.
The camera man then said "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 action!" That was my que to stay focused.
Savannah then said " Hello today I'm here talking with Hailey Wills to tell us what happened that fatal night." "Hailey what happened that night?". "Well I woke up to see a man in my room with all black. I was very scared and tried staring at him so I could see his face. He told me only one thing, "I can't believe you" I don't know what that means so yeah." I was out of breath after that because I didn't breathe because I was on live television and didn't want to mess anything up.
Savannah continued asking me questions and I answered them like a boss. She then later asked me a question that I didn't want to answer. "Didn't you have a dog with you when this happened?" I know she didn't mean to make it so harsh on me because she knew I missed him. "Well..." I struggled to say with tears swelling in my eyes "he wasn't in my room after what happened" I started bawling with tears, and Savannah handed me a tissue so makeup wouldn't stream down my face. "I want to go on a search for him because he can't be dead, so I need everybody's help. I need the help of finding my dog." I struggled to say. " I want the world to know how important our dogs and cats, parrots, hamsters, or whatever animal you have that is missing is safe and they are worth anything to us." At that point I felt more confident " I want to start my own charity and when we raised enough money I will go on a search to find my dog with one person. The person will have to be the person who raised the most amount of money. And I just want the world to know how important this is to me. And when I'm done I will help all of you find your loved ones, even if np they passed away." Savannah had a wowed look on her face but also tears streaming down it at the same time. "That's all the time we have for today, see you tomarrow on Today News" and we both waved to the camera while there theme song played. When they finally rung the bell to let us know we were off the air. I got up and hugged Savannah and she told me we should be friends even though she was a little bit older than me. I agreed and we exchanged phone numbers. I had to leave because I already had ideas popping into my head for the charity I'm doing.
