"Good job. I knew you would make the right decision."

"Happy?"I respond dryly , in a second I get the next message. "Very" . I put the phone back in my pocket as my father comes from upstairs in his equipment.

-I'll go with them. I'll conduct the raid. He says.

-Just be careful, dad. I say with a faint smile.

-I'm always careful.

-Are you ok getting to your apartment alone , or you need me to drop you? He asks.

-I'll be fine, I'll catch a cab . I say.

-Just lock up before you go. Your mother is still in France for the jewelry exposition.

-Ok, be careful. I say as he walks out the door.

I gather my bag and head outside, locking up and head for the street to call a cab.

I just got at the end of the lawn and a black car pulls over. The window goes down to reveal the one and only Ares Davoli.

-Need a ride? He asks smirking.

- No thank you, I'll take a cab.

-C'mon. I already know where you live. He says.

Of course he knows. I give up the fight I know I won't win and I get in the front seat.

-You are giving up to easily. He says laughing.

-I don't like fights. I say.

-But you are a lawyer, you should not give up that easy.

-I'm not in a courtroom right now. I know when is no point of argue.

-I see. Well , you want to go home? Or I can take you for a drink. He asks smirking.

Ughh,I want to smack that smirk away from his face.

-Sure, why not. I take all the bad that comes to me. I say giving up.

-I'm not so bad to be with, you'll see. He says with no expression this time.

-They call you "The Devil" , I think that is not coming from you making good deeds. I say and he laughs as I watch trough the window as we leave from my fathers house.

We ride about 10 minutes before we arrive at Red Velvet, a well known stripper club, that is owned by Ares.

-You brought me to a strip club? How romantic, I say sarcastically.

-You don't have to see the strippers, we will be at the back in a private booth. He says emotionless then he speaks again. I can take you to a restaurant if that is what you want. He says smirking again. I'll go mad at one point if he keeps smirking and the last thing I wanted is to be seen with him in a public place.

-The club is fine, thank you. I say dryly.

-Ok, follow me. He says as I follow him to the back entrance. The bodyguard opens the door soon as he spots his boss.

-Welcome back, boss. He said and Ares just nods.

We walk in a dark hallway and the booths start to appear on the both sides. We take the first on the right. I sit down at the small table and watch Ares do the same. A small woman barely clothed walks in with a smile plastered on her face and when she spots me her smile fades.

-What can I get you boss? She asks as if I'm not in the room.

-Lady's first. He says as he points at me.

With a bored look an her face she turns to me and ask me dryly.

-What can I get you?

-Whiskey with rocks , make it double. I say as the girl writes in a notepad.

-Same, he says and waves her to get out.

She does as he gestures. And we are alone again.

-So? Whiskey? Isn't that a strong drink for a woman like you? He asks

-I'm not what I look like. I say emotionless.

-I know. He says smiling. An actual smile, not a smirk. A silence falls between us until the same woman walks in with our drinks.

She hands him the drink and when she grabs mine she spilled all the content of the glass into my lap. Great just great.

I don't get to react as Ares grabs the girl by the neck with a murderous look on his face and he shouts loudly at her. In that moment I saw why they call him The Devil.

-You are stupid, you fucking slut? He spats at her.

-I....I'm sorry, she murmurs trying to catch a breath as his hand is curled to her throat.

-You'll be very sorry. He says as he takes the gun out of his waistband and shots her in the head.

I'm petrified. He maybe forgot I'm in the room , but a tear slipped down my face as the body falls limp on the floor. His eyes meet mine and his anger fades as he saw me crying. He is The Devil. I find the courage to speak .

-You shouldn't do that. It was an accident.

-No it wasn't . She tries to get in my bed as long as I hired her .She is the best at serving, never one spilling anything. That's why she is serving me. She did it on purpose. He says calmly watched the body lying on the floor then looking back at him.

-Still you shouldn't had killed her. I get it she was jealous. But she didn't deserve to die. I say

-Yes she did. When I'm with a guest no one should question my actions. And act out o jealousy. I don't accept that from my employees. He says angrily

-Ok, could we just move to another booth or leave? I ask

-Sure, were going to my place, he says.
