Asahi's mind is a mess, especially with those unwanted feelings, it seems to be unrepairable. He chose to flight and let his backbone take control. He tried to breath, to unwind the clutter inside his head, to ignore the small steps that followed him behind, to ignore that his greatest fear came true. He would think of many scenarios, and most is being chased by those he met briefly; by those who his mind thought is plotting something bad against him. And now someone is really on his tail, trying to kill him or something, his mind screamed as the poor boy tried to block it. He knew he can’t, his chest will continue to ache due to the lack of oxygen, adrenaline will continue flow in his blood, as long as he haven't reached his save haven.
On the fourth floor, a room where Iwaizumi-sensei store the tale of the world in a shape of books, portraits, maps, and a globe -- it's a detention place if you failed history, it's Asahi's temporary shelter at school. He felt safe, tucked in dust when he stayed in the corner for hours. He felt safe, with the room became his silent witness; the witness of his pain, the witness of his fear. It was as if that very room is destined to be a storage room from the beginning, to accept and remember history in every kind, shape, and wonder.
'If only I could go there', Asahi bitterly thought.
Fear got a perfect grip on him; not only from getting caught, but also from getting his secret spilled -- his safe room. Sharing the privilege of that old storage room is just the same as giving up his life. After gathering up courage to ask his history teacher, after bowing so many times, after so many begs, just to have some hours in that dusty room, after so many- ah, there his mind go again with annoying flashbacks, yet adrenaline still pumps his heart faster. Shouldn't memories gives some kind of serene and melancholic feelings? Because life is based on memory, and life isn't all about sadness and terror. Then why did it only gave him fear and anxiousness?
'If you have time to think about your feelings, then try to think your way to get out of here!' he silently scold himself.
Just as he reached the fourth floor, he just realised that his safe haven is not an option. Then where should he go? Beyond this corridor is a dead-end -- stairs to the roof that is prohibited for students. But desperate times calls for desperate measures; he still runs to the roof, he still tried the door and rattle the locks that shatter his whole being to the floor, curled up into a ball and letting himself succumb into his deep dark mind as the sound of footstep came to a stop.
