Jeremy doesn't deserve any hate he gets. Yes his actions in the musical were kind of selfish. But he's a TEENAGER for gods sake. Teenagers do selfish things.
Also he did apologize for what he did. And he didn't take advantage of Christine when she was under the SQUIP's control. He chose to free her over his own desires. And it is amazing that he did that.
On a side note, why is no one talking about how Michael was being selfish in "The Play". He gets Mountain Dew Red, which is what they need to stop the SQUIP, but he doesn't give it to Jeremy.
Why?
Because he wants a FUCKING APOLOGY!!
Where do I even begin?
1. He could have asked for it AFTER he gave him the Mountain Dew Red. What was the point of getting it if you weren't going to give it to him unless he apologized?
2. Was he just going to let the SQUIP take over Jeremy's body? If he didn't get an apology, would he have just left him like that?
3. There were other people who were under control of the SQUIP! If Michael just left, he would be partially responsible for the school being taken over!
Overall, Jeremy is not a bad person. He's just a teen who made a impulsive action for a girl he likes.
