Chapter 8: friendship, bullying, and unexpected news

Ingrid and Rory started to become close friends and helped each other out when it was necessary like Ingrid teaching Rory German and Rory and Ingrid having secret Jam sessions as well.

while they were at school one day they pretended that they were studying in the halls until a group of boys started to come up to Ingrid cat calling her and calling her names too.
"Hi there doll!"
"How's it going Kitten?!"
"how easy are you?!"
"Did your mother teach you to be promiscuous?"

as the name's started to go on, Ingrid ran off crying even when a boy pinched her butt and Rory decided that enough was enough.
"WHO IS DOING THIS?!" Rory shouted as everyone went silent in the hallway and saw that there wa sa familiar boy whispering to his friends and saw that there was a familiar dirty blonde haired boy who was also stifling a giggle as well when he was talking to his friends.

"BE QUIET RIGHT NOW OR I WILL KILL YOU!" Rory said as he grabbed Oliver by the collar of his shirt.

"DID YOU SPREAD THOSE RUMORS ABOUT INGRID?!" Rory yelled in rage as he was holding Oliver against his will at the lockers.

"y-yes I did but I only did that because she hurt my feelings!" Oliver said as his voice was in a strangled tone.

"Listen right here, I don't like bullies nor do I appreciate them so here's the thing. You are going to stop the rumors, apologize to Ingrid, and NEVER. I REPEAT NEVER COME NEAR HER AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME??" Rory said in a threatening voice.

"y-yes I do." Oliver said as he was finally let go and ran off.

as Ingrid took up a job as modeling to help support her family, she was finally relieved that the man was finally sent to jail but as she was coming back home she saw a group of two men as they had a sad look on their faces.

"Um, Can I help you two?" She asked in a confused tone.

"We're the doctors from the hospital and we were informed to tell you that both of your parents were in a car accident and died because of their Injuries." The doctor on the left said first.

"WHAT?! NO! please! it can't be true!" Ingrid said as she broke down crying as if she was stabbed in the heart.

it was now raining outside in the cemetery and Rory and his parents were there since Rory's last day of school here would be tomorrow. "Ingrid I'm so sorry that this happened I really am." Rory said in a sad tone as he hugged Ingrid who was sobbing loudly into his shoulder. "shh, shh. it's okay I'm here." Rory said in a soft tone. not only was she crying because of her parents, it's because one of her best friends would be leaving her tomorrow and she was going to be forever alone.
