the judgement

Just as it is,
a joust for the crown
which isn't.
Jus of the underbelly
under passed.
By the very own hands
which cannot keep
from the cookie jar.
Smack says the lid
and squeals the kid.
Scream does the mouth
for the injustice.
"I didn't do it.
The lid fell on my fingers.
I did not do it."
The fingers still
scarred, branded
and chalked
for where the edge
of the lid
fell on its fingers.
Justice said:
"your balance
weighs heavy
on the attempt
for reaching
the cookies;
the intent punished
by the lid."
"That's what I mean,"
the kid squealed again,
"I've already
received like the reed."
Now justice weighed
and came to
the judgment.
"Fair-minded
I draw
the middle of the road.
To equalize
on the scale
It's off with the head.
Bring this lad
to the gallows
and gag him
for ever
and ever.

Bring this ladto the gallowsand gag himfor everand ever
