Wisteria Petals - Final Selection 2/2

             As your vision slowly fades to black, you hear a voice. Since your head hit the ground so hard, you couldn't even remember where you were or what you were doing. You laid on the ground almost lifeless

Tanjiro's POV

" Y/N!" I yelled. I was in so much shock. 

" I'll eat her later!" the demon giggled as he glanced at Y/N

I was enraged, just the thought of any loved one getting hurt enraged me. I sprinted aggressively towards the demon with as much force while cutting every arm he throws in my way. Just as I was about to jump he hits me onto the trees, knocking me out.

Your POV

I start regaining my consciousness as I slowly wake up. I hear a voice and remember where I was causing me to jump back up right away. I saw the demon slowly walking towards Tanjiro. giggling about messed up thoughts. As I stand up I realized I broke my humerus ( Upper arm bone) was broken. Even though it hurt so much, the thought of losing Tanjiro was worse.

" STAY AWAY FROM TANJIRO!" I yell sprinting and jumping in the air, but before I could cut the demon's arm, Tanjiro jumps up and cuts its arm.

I jumped on to the branch of a tree.

" T-tanjiro are you okay?" I yell

He nods at me, and I nod back. As the demon gets distracted by me, he forgets Tanjiro was there. As he refocuses on Tanjiro, I try to do as much damage as I can. The demon hits me back onto the ground again, but not enough to knock me out. Although I didn't cut off its head I did a great amount of damage. But right before eyes, Tanjiro jumps into the air, his eyes glisten from the moon with anger, and just in a flash, he cuts off the demons head. 

I get up to see the demon slowly disintegrating and Tanjiro praying. I get up right up next to Tanjiro praying too. 

" You did it!" I smile slightly

" We did it," He corrects me. He beams like a ray of sunshine.

Speaking of the sun, dawn breaks. 

After a few more nights, Tanjiro and I stayed by each other's side helping each other out. It was always heartbreaking when Tanjiro tried to ask the demons if they knew anything about changing Nezuko back to human, but it the answer was never answered. 

" Maybe next time." I try to lighten him

He responds quietly, breaking my heart even more.

The next time never came, as Tanjiro and I survived the 7 days. I look around to see a boy shaking and murmuring to himself in fear, a girl with a soft gentle face, and a boy with an aggressive look. I smile and Tanjiro as he beams with joy. We walk up as the two girls greeted and congratulated us. We all got crows which would help us notify us for our next mission. 

They told us about the ranks and how we were at the bottom. One of the guys started getting angry and getting mad at the two girls. Not long after he started yelling. Just as I was about to say something, Tanjiro stopped him. We got to choose our oars for the color-changing katana. 

As Tanjiro sets off to go back to his Master, I stop him. 

" Great job Tanjiro! I hope we can do missions together!" I smile brightly

" Yeah! I can't wait when that happens!" he beams once again.

We both set off in our different paths, but our goal was to avenge our family.

A/N: Hey! I tried to make this as long as I could, but not go too far. This story might be on hold, but not that long. I've been procrastinating to write another chapter because I've been getting into Haikyuu! (sjhfskja I fell in love with Nishinoya-) And because I fell in love with Nishinoya, I'll be doing a fanfic Nishinoya x reader, so for the first week, I'll be trying to get it ready. I still love demon slayer, but I'm slowly fading away. My haikyuu and demon slayer fanfics are going to be my only projects until I'm almost done with them, so don't worry! I won't put a lot on my plate so I can finish the fanfics :) ^-^ until then, have a great day :D
