soyi was instantly awake, her eyes trying to adjust in the darkness, when the door slammed open.

soyi, who was still readjusting to the sudden stream of light, barely made out her parents and her best friends at the door, holding up a cake. she rubbed at her eyes and pushed herself out of bed, unfazed.
"who fell down?"
mira rubbed her nape, letting out a nervous giggle. she was being accounted for by an annoyed gaon, whose eyes were glaring daggers at the small girl.
