The outlook isn't good. Since there is no cure or treatment, the only thing doctors can do is make you comfortable. The prognosis (time people with this disease live) is only 40 years. If your doctors ever try to remove the bone, that will cause the regrowing to happen even faster, decreasing your time to live.
