Chapter 5- Road Trip

Dust's P.O.V. 

I woke up on the ground, vision blurry, and something small curled up to my chest. I used my left hand to rub my eyes as my vision became clear. I looked around and it was a very beautiful morning. Nothing like the mornings I had in Nightmare's realm, especially waking up with Horror and Killer as my 'dorm neighbors' on each side of my room. I relaxed and enjoyed the moment when I heard a small yawn from beside me. I opened up my wings to see Blue waking up. I was confused for a moment before remembering what happened yesterday at the cliff. She rubbed her eyes and looked up at me. The sunlight making her blue, starry, eyes have a glowing look to them. "GoodMorning Dust!" Blue said happily as she crawled out of my wings and stood up. She took my hand in hers and helped me up, grabbing my 'cane' and handing it to me. "How are we gonna get to the top of the mountain?" I asked since the mountain itself was far away but the mountain wasn't small either. "I know a couple shortcuts~" Blue said with a small wink. I didn't know what she meant by that but I decided just to roll with it. Blue walked over and picked up her bag that had been hanging on a tree and pulled out some bandages. She quickly put some fresh bandages on my wing and leg as well as some disinfectant cream on my arm, which had some cuts and bruises. "Aren't you gonna wash your clothes?" I asked since her clothes were still covered in dirt and blood. Her face exploded in a blush as she stuttered "W-WELL, I CAN'T JUST TAKE OFF A-ALL OF MY CLOTHES! ESPECIALLY SINCE YOUR H-HERE!!" "W-WHAT!?" I said as my face quickly started to glow Purple. "I meant that you should get in the pond and wash your clothes off! Not take them off!" I said as we both mentally died of embarrassment. "O-oh!" Blue said in embarrassment as she finally understood what I was suggesting. She started to walk towards the pond as she slowly got in and washed off. I watched as she took off the small tunic that covered her shoulders and half of her wings. Her wings were almost three times her size and pure white!  My jaw dropped as I watched her stretch her wings all the way out, THEY WERE HUGE! She could easily carry me but I don't think she has that kind of stamina, or she can but wants to walk. She finished washing all of her clothes off and walked over to me. I handed her bag to her and grabbed my cloak. Blue put her cape and tunic in her bag, saying it would help her wings dry off faster. I started to put out the fire that was still going as Blue went over to grab some fruit just in case there wasn't food at the next stop, or if we just wanted to stop for a small break. We soon were off on the trail and towards the mountain, wings folded back and supplies at the ready.

No one's P.O.V. 

Blue and Dust were almost halfway there by lunchtime. mainly because Dust and Blue played tag for 2 hours which made up for a lot of ground but they were currently tired as heck. They found a nearby river and decided to take a break there. Blue saw it on top of a hill when they were in the forest. "Come on Dust!" Blue yelled as she jumped down the hill, using her wings o glide down.  Dust kept walking and told her "You can run towards the river, I'll walk there. I don't have as much energy as you do." "OKAY!" Blue shouted since she was already running through the forest. They were about a mile away from the river so it was a pretty decent walk till Dust got there. Once he got closer he started to look for Blue, Wherever she could have gone. As he continued to walk the bank of the river he heard something up ahead. He continued to push past bushed and trees when he saw Blue sitting on a rock. Dust hid behind one of the trees to see what she was doing. Blue sat there on a rock and suddenly started to sing. (because I'm just that kind of cheesy person XD)
