(if wifi existed in the 90s, which it did, but at Hogwarts. And also if our current technology existed in the 90s )

"A new addition to Hogwarts this year is there will be wifi added to the school. If anyone wishes to bring a muggle cellular phone into the school they can do as they please. Your login information will be in your dorm rooms along with a brand new iphone for each student. Those that want to assist others in the use of muggle technology are encouraged to join Hogwarts newly formed technology club. The first meeting will be today after all the classes are finished. Thank You, that is all," McGonagall stepped off the podium.

It was after the welcoming feast and everyone was slouching over, their stomaches stuffed with the good food. After McGonagall's big announcement, all of the muggle-born wizards and witches got excited. The Purebloods and some of the half-bloods were confused.

"Hermione, whats wee fay?" Ron asked Hermione who was smiling from ear to ear.

"Its wifi, Ronald. You pronounce it like the letter y and fye. Its a thing muggles use to connect to the internet for their phones, computers and other devices. Since we can have phones in school, I can text my parents. Its way faster than using an owl. The message delivers in a matter of seconds," Hermione explained.

Harry and Ginny were in the background absorbing this information that Hermione was so eagerly and willing to share. Yes, Hermione may have loved school but this was a whole new level of excitement for her.

"Hey Granger, head boy and girl have to report to their dorms at once," Draco Malfoy tapped Hermione and practically screamed in her ear.

"What the bloody hell was that for?" She turned to glare at malfoy but he was already walking out. She turned to her still confused friends."Well, I have to go guys. If you need help with your phones and stuff, come to my dorm. Bye," Hermione started to speed walk to catch up with Draco.
