After what seemed like awkward silence for hours, which was five minutes, Draco and Hermione started to talk again. 

"Are you okay?" Draco walked over to where Hermione was curled up on the couch. He didn't hear her muffled sobs until he got closer to her. "Mi, it's going to be okay. You are a strong independent woman that doesn't need a man to keep her mental stability in check. You can get through the toughest situations. You're bloody Hermione Granger for Merlin's sake!" 

Suddenly Hermione started giggling like a little school girl. "It's funny how your ex-girlfriend and my ex-boyfriend got together and neither of us noticed it. Well, I sort of saw the signs but I just never mentioned it," She stopped laughing and started crying harder than before. Her body was shaking and trembling. "I just don't want to be sad anymore. I don't want to be bullied or made fun of. I don't want to be known as the know it all. I am sick and tired. All. The. Damn. Time."

Draco hugged her to stop her shaking and soon she calmed down. They stayed together for an hour until Hermione drifted off into an uneasy sleep. What she couldn't hear was what Draco whispered to her. 

"I love you."
