Ch. 3- Fight Through The Trauma! Debiddo's First Trial!

"Wait...wait...wait, I need to do what now?" said Debiddo with confusion on his face. "I said you will need to die first," Oshiro responded. "Well, near-death..." Oshiro then takes a hit from his pipe and continues. " Since you are not naturally connected to the spirit realm, we are going to have to force that connection." "By dying? You got me all the way messed up if you think I'm going to die for this crap." Debiddo responds angrily. Oshiro sighs. "Look this is the only way for you to reach limbo. You will have to be near death so that you can achieve your spiritual body." Says Oshiro putting his hand on Debiddo's shoulder. "You are not making any sense to me. All this is so confusing, and you are not helping me understand one bit. Like what even is Limbo anyways," Said Debiddo looking perplexed. "Ok, ok," Says Oshiro understandingly nodding his head."Let me give you a brief rundown but after this, no more questions." Oshiro walks to a nearby dirt patch and starts drawing. "Ok, this is you, and this is your soul." Oshiro draws a circle inside the stick figure drawing of Debiddo. "Everyone's soul, no matter if they can travel to the spirit world or not, emit energy." Oshiro starts drawing energy flowing around the stick figure. "This energy is what your body uses to do every simple action in your life. The more your body does any physical activity, the more spiritual energy you emit. 

There were some humans long ago, that trained their bodies to be able to connect to the spirit world and cross to limbo with no problem. These humans gained a mass following and eventually revolted against Lord Ichiroun and the chasers. This caused the chasers to close off the gate that connected to limbo. After it closed, more and more demons started appearing on earth causing havoc amongst the people of earth. Fearing human extinction, a bunch of soul researchers from our world developed this technology that could assist in capturing demons, while at the same time, keeping humans away from any demons." Oshiro says showing the watch-like device on his wrist. "Why do I need to know all this?" Debiddo asks. Oshiro then points his stick at Debiddo's face. "I am telling you this because you are a human, and since that incident, humans are deemed forbidden to enter limbo, and chasers who are found taking humans to limbo will be punished severely. I need to teach you some basic knowledge of limbo and the history behind it to make sure that you don't stick out like a sore thumb." Oshiro replies. "You are doing a lot to make sure I make it to limbo, why go through so much trouble for me?" Debiddo asks. "Why do you keep asking so many questions!" Oshiro exclaims. "It's because you have the potential to not only avenge your loved ones but also everyone that you decide to protect in the future. "Ok, fine, I kind of understand a little bit now." Says Debiddo sitting Indian-style on the ground. "So, what this got to do with me "almost dying", because the way you are talking, you make it seem like it will be extremely difficult to get to Limbo."

"I'm getting to that" Oshiro says wiping the drawing away and getting prepared to draw again. "After the dispute between humans and chasers, most of the humans that learned how to connect to the spiritual world slowly died off and now the methods to connect to the spiritual world are almost completely lost to time. There are still a small handful of humans from this world who can practice this spiritual connection, but the practice became more of meditation and mental training and less of trying to interact with spirits. When a person is near death, the limiters placed on their soul start to disappear, and then their energy starts to disperse out of their body, leaving the soul itself behind to be purified by chasers like us." Oshiro then takes another hit on his pipe before continuing. "Now that we got that over with now let's get down to why I need you to be near death." "Finally!" said Debiddo as he stands up, brushing the dirt off his pants. "Anyways," Oshiro says clearing his throat. "For you to reach limbo your spiritual limiter needs to be broken without your soul leaving your body. Your limiter breaks when your spiritual energy reaches 20 percent. You will then need to connect a kind of spiritual chain to your soul and body before your spiritual energy reaches below that.  Once that connection is made, Your body will be able to travel and contact the spirit realm with ease without your soul leaving your body. Which in turn, will also help you travel to limbo as well. We will be using the method that the old humans practiced, to make sure we can enter limbo without being detected by chaser guards, and to answer your Limbo question, it is the dimensional realm between yours and Rakuen where we chasers lived for thousands of years.
