The Red String Thread (Catch Me Rewritten)

CHAPTER FOUR

ISABELLE POV

        "I GAVE UP!!!!"  I voiced my frustrations out, slumped myself on the soft bed and closed my eyes.  I heard Riza sighed and also laid herself beside me. After a disasterious meeeting, I asked Riza for helped and she gladly accpeted so I'm here at her house since they got all the equimpent and materials that I needed for the presentation tomorrow.

        "You know that you're the one who put yourself in this position" she reminded me and I just kept quite. I also told her about my meeting with the demon king which she commented that it was good that I tried to stood up for myself but my action was just too impulsived that it led me into this huge problem. "He is only doing this to get revenge" she pointed it out. 

        I figured that out also. I was hoping that the reason he had chosen me was because my ideas were good or he was attracted to me and found me sexy. Scratch the attracted part that would less likely to happened. Plus even if he's the last man on Earth, I wouldn't fall in love to a guy like him - NEVER. And beside who would like that guy? Only an idiot or a crazy person would dare to fall in love with him.  Furthermore, I already listed him on my Death Note notebook ever since he uttered those words that I wouldn't forget.

        You're just a waste of my time since you're not even a worthy as my opponent - you're not even a worthy as my opponent ..... When I remembered those words, the anger I felt before came back and this time it made me felt more angrier than ever.

         I abruptly sat up, which made Riza startled, got the Mac and typed again. I felt more determined than before since I wanted to proved to that guy that I could be a worthy opponent – an opponent that he didn’t expect.  I was so engrossed that I totally forgot about Riza until she spoke.

        “What do you what me to do?” I was shocked at first but I smiled and gave her some instructions of which she happily obliged. We continued making the presentation that we didn't realized it was rather late when we finished it. 

        “The presentation is seems to be good” Riza commented after some few hours later. I looked at the presentation on the computer it was good but I felt like there’s something missing.  “What’s wrong?” she asked when she noticed that I was frowning.

        “I don’t know ” I said and Riza just sighed. “What! I just want it to be perfect”  

        She released a breathe and said "I know you’re feeling the pressure since Kuya threatened you"  

        I was shocked when I heard that. I purposely didn't tell her about my conversation with Allen because I didn't want her to get worried. "How do you know about that?"   She at looked at me first before she spoke again.

        "I overheard your conversation with him at the hallway when I was looking for you" She simply explained, there wasn't even a hint of guilt when she said it.  

FLASHBACK

        When the demon king left the studio, Allen not so gently dragged me out from the office and pushed me to a corner - trapping me.
