ISABELLE POV

I peeked the entrance of the studio and I hid again at the back of the big dumpster, didn't mind about the smeel, outside of the building when I saw my officemate went inside. I was so nervous today that I couldn't even sleep last night because I was comtemplating on apologizing to the people in the studio. I knew for sure they would be angry at me especially Allen, he would be the most angriest in the room.

Plus, I hoped that he would not push through with his threat when I explained everything to him that we shouldn't work with a guy whose ego was beyond the universe and look down to people who didn't belong to his circle. Perhaps, Allen might understood the reason I wasn't able to do the presentation and instead of feeling remorsed towards me, all of them, including Allen,  would be happy that I save them from the demon king. What a wishful thinking?

The thoughts of running away from here was started to be appealing but I knew I had to face them. So I prayed my final prayer and mentally said my last good bye to my loved ones. I took a deep breath and slowly walked inside the studio, dragging my feet since it didn't like to move. It felt like I was walking towards my death. And each step that I took, it was painstaking heavy that I couldn't lift my hand, since it was shaking so bad,  in order to open the door when I finally reached the entrance. And It took me another few more seconds to calmed myself down, gave my heartbeat the chance to slow down and my breath to be even.

You can do it Isabelle. I encouraged myself. Unhurriedly, I gripped the door handle and opened it in a slow-moving pace that it made low horrifying creaking sound, crossing my finger that no one would hear it. But luckily it seems that nobody heard it because everyone was busy doing some work at their desk when I glimpsed inside. And when I made sure nobody paid any attention, I immediately went inside and hurriedly moved towards my desk while I covered my face with the bag that I was holding. I was almost at my desk when I heard a voice calling my name.

"Isabelle!" Lea, one of my officemate, called. Patay na!  I igonered her and just sat down on my chair, pretending that I was doing some work. "Hey! How's the presentation? Did we get the job?" she asked, I just continued filing some papers. She was about to questioned me again when another voice called my name.

"Ms. Reyes!" I looked up and it was Allen. Patay na talaga! His finger motioned me to go to his office. I really didn't want to go but I didn't have a choice so I stood up and took my time walking. And like before, all eyes were on me. I heard my officemates whispers but I didn't understand the words they were saying because I was nervous and scared. I glanced at Riza and she gave me an encouraging and assuring smile that it made me less frighten.

I closed the door once I was inside and found Allen working something on his desk. "Mr. Cruz" I tried my  best not to stammered and acted confident even though deep inside I was already wrecking with nerves.

"Please sit down Ms. Reyes" he said without looking at me. I sat on the chair that it was infront of his desk and waited for him to finished on whatever he was doing. "I got a call from Mr. Santos a moment ago. You know him, right? His Excellency's secretary." he started. I just nodded and he continued. "He told me a very interesting news, it was very interesting indeed" I gulped, wondering the news which he found interested. "You know Isabelle when you first started here I always thought that you're not capable of anything since most of the job you did were always a failure in my eyes"
