Gunshots rang in Hyungwon's ears, as he slightly peeked out of the doorway of the safe room.
The eight year-old sneaked out of the dark room, immediately stepping in a pool of dark liquid, which he assumed was blood. He looked away from the blood on his shoe and the dead body next to it, choosing to continue on his journey to find his father.
Hyungwon walked into the entryway, seeing his father on his knees, with a guy standing over him.
"It's over, Chae."
Hyungwon silently gasped and looked around for something to help his father with, when he came across a gun on the ground, laying next to someone's dead body.
He had never used a gun before, let alone shot someone with it. But his father was in danger, and he had a general idea of what guns did.
He stood, and raised the gun towards the man, his hands shaking.
Hyungwon's dad saw his son holding the gun, and yelled out for him.
"Hyungwon! Don't shoot!"
The man who had Hyungwon's father at gunpoint looked over and saw the eight year-old boy pointing the stolen gun straight at him.
Hyungwon's eyes narrowed as his fingers curled around the trigger of the gun.
"Stay away from my Appa."
"Hyungwon, no!"
*BANG*
The man fell to the floor, as Mr. Chae ran over to his son, who was currently sobbing at the fact that he just killed someone.
"Shh, it's okay Hyungwon, it's okay."
The boy continued to sob into his father's shirt, not believing that he had just shot and murdered someone.
"Don't worry Hyungwon, I'll make sure you never have to do something like that ever again."

Hyungwon closed his book and set it down on the bench next to him, sighing as he realized that it was yet again almost sunset, seeing the glass illuminated with orange rays of sun.
He gazed around the large garden, watching as a butterfly fluttered above his head.
He leaned back against the tree the bench was stationed against, seeing a squirrel descend the tree.
He reached back and took the squirrel into his hands, softly stroking it on the head with his finger.
Hyungwon's garden was more of a greenhouse, seeing as it was completely encapsulated in glass for Hyungwon's safety.
Because it was separated from nature, his father put one of a bunch of different animals in the garden, to keep Hyungwon company.
Hyungwon spent almost all of his time in his garden, reading books, writing songs, playing the violin, or just enjoying the animals and plants.
His father rarely let him leave the house, so on Hyungwon's fourteenth birthday, his father gifted him the garden.
Because Hyungwon almost never left the house, he didn't have any friends. The only people he really knew were his dad and Shownu, who was tasked with being Hyungwon's bodyguard whenever he went out. Even then, Hyungwon knew almost nothing about Shownu.
He was isolated, and liked it.
