Mmmm. I felt the sunlight on my face and rolling over. Warmth enveloped me and I snuggled closer to it hearing a heartbeat. Flashbacks of last night blew through my mind and that's when I opened my eyes and smiled.

Luke was in a deep sleep and I let my eyes roam all over is body. He looked so damn good that I wanted a taste of him.

Instead of attempting to get a taste I got up and walked into the bathroom and shut the door. My hair was a mess and I looked like I went through a wild fucking, which I did. I turned to the shower and cut the water on then stepped in.

I took a long hot shower and sorted through my thoughts.

How could I agree to stay here when I had a prior commitment? I was helping Hunter and abandoned him at the first sight of Luke. He's going to be pissed at me. Just imagining him being angry is scary. What will he say when I tell him I'm staying and I can't finish the deal? What will he do? Oh my Goodness, What has he done already? An my father...

Dread seeped under my skin as goosebumps rose all over my body. The hot water didn't stand a chance at making me feel better. I need to call him and my father. At least, once I explain my decision it won't end so badly... right?

I cut off water and dried my body and hair. I wrapped the towel around myself and walked back into the room to find the bed empty.

Luke must've woke up and went to handle something. I went into his closet and picked blue jeans with a white top and denim jacket. After braiding my hair I blow dried it. Once it was dry I took the braid down and brushed it seeing the looked waves. I threw on some heel booties and walked out the room.

I made my way around the house looking for Luke and ran into Kevin.

"Hey! How are you feeling today?" He smiled at me and it felt genuine.

"I'm good, thank you. Have you seen Luke? He was gone after I took a shower."

"Uh. Check his office. He haven't left yet for our runs today so he may be in there making calls." He nodded in the opposite direction of the house.

"Thanks! I'll see you later?" My eyes squinted as I turned my head as if questioning being near him.

He laughed. "It's ok Celeste. I meant what I said the other day. We're starting over and I'd like to hang out with you later." With that he patted my shoulder and left.

I made my way to Luke office and right when I was turning the corner I heard the door open. I can't explain why but I felt the need to hide and peek to see what's going on. I didn't trust them all yet even after their apologies.

Daniel was about to close the door when his phone rang.

"What is it?" He listened and then his face held anger and hatred. His grip tightened on the phone. "You've got some nerves calling here again. You want death to hit you!" He was yelling into his phone when Luke spoke.

"Who's on the line?" His voice was calm and loud.

"Hunter." Daniels voice held disgust.

"Bring it to me." Is all Luke said.

Daniel went inside and after a few seconds he came out mumbling insults as he went down the stairs on the other end of the hall. He didn't close the door all the way so I crept down until I was at the door and I felt my blood go cold from what I heard.

"My, my, Hunter, you don't give up." Luke sounded amused.

"I want my wife back. You think I'd let you keep her that easily. I gave you a few hours to do the smart thing and give her back but you've showed me again how stupid you are." He had the phone on speaker and I heard Hunter speaking.
