Chapter 18

Oh no! Please don't jump down, Angeline! She was about to lean forward when someone who I assumed to be Sam caught her by the waist. 

"Please don't leave me, Angeline!" he shouted. The rest of us ran up the stairs and when we reached the floor of where Angeline and Sam was, I saw Sam crying while hugging Angeline. Angeline was in her cheer leading uniform and it was full of her tears. 

She looked up and saw us. Especially when she saw me, her expression was neutral. She walked over to me. "Why didn't you want me to jump off just now?" 

"I hate you. But that doesn't mean I want you to die." I gave her the diary and walked away not looking back. I felt all eyes were on me but I didn't care. I was never going to care for anyone anymore. Before I left, I gave Haymon my car keys and walked home since it wasn't far from school.

As I walked home, I could feel the wind. It was cold but I just ignored it. I sensed someone behind me and from the corners of my eyes, I could see that they are reaching out to grab my shoulder. I grabbed their arm and slammed them to the ground. It was Jesse. That stalker. 

I ignored him and continued to walk. 

When I got back, Haymon was already there lying on the bed reading his book. "Where have you been?" Haymon asked me. I did not answer him and just went to take a shower. What was happening to me? It was like all my emotions were gone. Love, sadness, happiness...all gone. 

After the shower, I lied down on my bed. I felt really hot. I was sweating cold sweat. I had bad dreams. I was thirsty. I walked to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of water. Haymon saw me and had a worried look on his face. I felt like I was going to faint. Everything was so dizzy.

"Amelia? Are you feeling okay?" Haymon walked over to me and placed his hand on my forehead. "You look pale and you have a fever!"

I could feel that I was losing all my energy and I fell onto the ground. I saw Haymon ran to me and carried me. "I'll send you to the hospital. Please be okay, Amelia." and he carried me to the car. All through the drive, I stared at a worried Haymon. Sorry, Haymon. I feel so sick.

But before I had the chance the tell him to turn us around back home, I blacked out. 

Moments later, I woke up and found myself on the hospital bed. I saw Haymon lying on the chair next to my bed. Aww! He waited for me? But what happened?

"Haymon?" I woke him up.

"Hmm? Amelia! You're awake! Oh my gosh! I thought I lost you!" he shouted. 

"Why?"

"Don't you remember? Your temperature was really high! The doctor said you might die!"

"Well, I didn't. So why are you still having that worried look?" he looked away and I knew something happened.

"What happened, Haymon?"

"Amulet Nuke needs me, Amelia. They called me to go back. They are at the famous hotel somewhere here."

What?!
