Yesterday, all the girls in my grade had to go to this thing during P.E. about positivity and being nicer to each other. Here are some highlights from our conversations.

...

Teacher: How many people here hold a grudge?

Everybody except for me and my friend raised their hand.

Me: Da fu- Is this why we're lonely?!

...

Teacher: We don't dress to impress boys but instead we dress to impress other girls.

Me, in a super glittery outfit: Nah. This was the only thing in my closet.

My friend, decked out in Dragon Ball Z merch: I'm guessing this doesn't apply to us.

...

Teacher: Boys fight with physical violence and girls fight with emotional. When the boys fight they just rough it out behind the school. The next day, they're playing basketball together.i

Me: Sounds to me like they're living the dream.

...

Other student: We all stay in our groups, but we still talk and get along.

Me: What kind of fantasy world are you living in?!

...

We each had to write down two problems and ways to solve them on a sticky note. Then the teacher collected them and read them aloud with the help of one of our P.E. techers.

Teacher: This is the last one and it just says 'girls are confusing'. Sorry but I don't know how to help ya with that one.

Me, patting my friend on the shoulder because I know that's the one she wrote down: Sorry, but it still looks like nobody can fix our problems.

...

Other student: My boyfriend once said that you will never be able to understand a girl, even if she came with instructions.

Me: Pfft. My instructions would be easy. 'Be nice. Act happy.' Simple.

...

I raise my hand hesitantly to say something.

Teacher: Yes, you in the back?

Me, panicking and stuttering (aloud): S-some of us like to stay i-in our little groups of one or t-two. We dont exactly l-like talking to others.

Teacher: That's a good point.

Me (thinking): Stop making an example of me.

...

The teacher dismissed us for class.

Me, to the girls outside the door because this was their next class: Good luck.

...

Me and my friend walked out of the class in one piece.

My friend: See. It wasn't that bad.

Me, still shaking: Yeah. Once the panic attack cleared up everything was ay-o-... no. I'm gonna be thinking about this all day.

...

Stay in school kids, even though it sucks.
