Hyunjin's anxiety was welling up in his stomach. He'd never been to a huge party filled with celebrities. The bass from the speakers could be heard from streets away, and only grew in vibrato as their car inches closer and closer. Hyunjin told himself to calm down, assuring that he was nearly overreacting. Chan had the car valeted once they arrived, which left the two standing before a large mansion filled with drunk celebrities and hammered strangers looking to hookup with any idol they could get their hands on. Hyunjin instinctively moved closer to Chan, intimidated by the utter chaos before him.

"Are you ready?" Chan asked with a devilish smile. Hyunjin just nodded, putting up a front as to not ruin Chan's adrenaline high, however he was growing a tad nauseous and wanted nothing more than to turn around and go home.

The boys walked into the house, immediately met with an overwhelming amount of noise and flashing LED lights. The booming speakers made Hyunjin's insides vibrate with each surging bass that echoed out of them. The house smelled like alcohol and sex, and the air was thick and humid. This really wasn't his scene at all. He turned to see how Chan was reacting to the party, determined to helicopter him for the rest of the night, but he was nowhere to be found.

"Ch-Chan?" Hyunjin called, though he didn't even hear himself over the noise. Hyunjin felt like he was going to be sick. He began pushing through crowds of people in an attempt to find a secluded room. Hyunjin grew desperate when he realized the house was packed with people, and decided to turn around and hide in the car till it was over. Though he immediately crashed into someone's broad back and tumbled to the floor.

"Hyunjin?" Jackson gasped as he leaned down to help him to his feet. He was wearing a tight fitting white shirt, soaked through around the collar from sweat. He had marks on his neck and collar bone, along with many different shades of lipstick smeared around his mouth. "What are you doing here?" He asked. Hyunjin sighed and tried to raise his voice over the crowd. "I came here with Chan, but I lost him and don't really know anyone else!" He yelled. Jackson nodded and handed him a red cup full of a clear water-like substance. "So you can get to know some people!" Jackson yelled with a smirk before disappearing into the crowd.

Hyunjin looked around before gazing into the cup. He put the rim up to his lips and let the liquid flush over his tongue and fill his mouth before swallowing a large gulp. The flavor took a minute to set in, but when it did, Hyunjin dropped the cup and sprinted upstairs and into the nearest bathroom he could find. He puked harder than he ever had, to the point where his throat burned. Sometime as he was throwing up a gentle hand was placed on his back and forehead to hold him upright and hair back. "Thank you." Hyunjin acknowledged as he sat against the bathtub. "Of course." Felix said with a sad smile.

"How...How have you been Lix." Hyunjin asked, still trying to regulate his breathing. Felix sighed before answering, "Good I guess." Then the silence fell onto them like a thick blanket of snow. Hyunjin, nor Felix, knew what to say in that moment. They hadn't spoken outside of work in weeks. Hyunjin missed Felix more than either of them realized. However neither of them knew how to rekindle the spark of their friendship after the flame had nearly gone out. The party could be heard through the door, muffled, but still louder than Hyunjin's headache would like. He couldn't meet Felix's eyes, so he gazed around at the bathroom decor, unsure of how to start the conversation. "Hyunjin." Felix called. Hyunjin lifted his eyes to meet Felix's. "We...we used to tell each other everything," Hyunjin nodded along in agreement, "and well now, it feels like you're keeping secrets or just not telling me as much as you used to anymore." He admitted. "We had such a close friendship. I remember being in school and wishing I had a best friend that was totally in sync with me and actually went out of their way to hang out with me. We had that, but dude, I haven't seen you in weeks!" Felix cried. Warm tears were running down both of their faces, and they'd moved slightly closer to each other than before. "I'm sorry. I've been so busy with Chan that I-", "Hyunjin," Felix interrupted, coldly staring at the bathroom floor. Hyunjin swallowed his rambles and began to listen. "Are you and Chan dating?" Felix asked softly. Hyunjin in took a breath, "No," He replied. Felix seemed dissatisfied with the answer, but nodded anyways. "But...I wish we were." Hyunjin added with a sorrow filled smile. Felix's eyes lit up and he moved even closer to Hyunjin. Hyunjin could see the gratefulness in Felix's eyes. Felix was glad Hyunjin decided to open up to him like he used to. He felt as if they were back on track.
