Chapter 7

Jacob

I left Bella's place after staying the night. Crap what is Charlie gonna think of me now he probably thinks I'm taking advantage of her since Edward is gone.

Once I got home my dad was sitting on the porch waiting for me.

"Come here son I need to talk to you." He says and I sit in the swing next to him.

"If this is about staying the night at Bella's I'm really sorry dad but nothing happened." I say.

"No this isn't about you staying the night at Bella's I trust you i know nothing would happen you love that girl. This is about the vampires that tried to attack Bella a couple months ago." He explains.

"What about them." I say with anger in my voice.

"They have been spotted a couple towns over. We don't think they will come back here because of the patrols but we can never be too safe so keep an eye on Bella okay." He says.

"I won't let them ever hurt Bella again." I say and walk to the garage.

"They better not even think about coming here I will rip them to shreds." I say to myself then continue fixing my bike.

Bella

When I get to school Jessica and Angela are immediately by my side trying to cheer me up saying they feel bad for Edward breaking up with me. And saying I deserve someone better anyway.

"Don't worry about me i have been hanging out with a cbildhoif friend remember Jacob black you met him when we all went to LA push." I tell them.

"OK a childhood friend or a childhood love interest." Angela says.

"Who has a childhood love intrest." Mike says and walks up to us with Eric following behind.

"Bella has a childhood love interest." Jessica says.

"Who?" Eric asks.

"That Jacob guy we met at LA push." Angela says.

They don't even let me get a word in to tell them tat its not that simple. But hearing them say that i loved him made my stomach get all fluttery maybe I really do love him that much but I don't want it out to everyone yet.

"Can we stop talking about me i don't know what me and Jacob are yet so just drop it for now. So what did you guys do over the break." I ask.

Immediately the go into how they were already shopping for prom dresses but haven't found a dress yet. Then they suggested we go shopping on Friday I agreed but I don't know if I'm going.

Later that afternoon I go home and Charlie is already home waiting for me.

"Please sit Bella we need to talk." He says.

I sit down in the chair across from him in the living room.

"So am you know I care about you and this is hard to talk about but..." I cut him off.

"Dad stop mom beat you to this talk like 8 yers ago and also I'm a virgin." I say and it makes him cringe.

"Okay ok I understand but just in case there are condoms in your nightstand drawer be safe okay." He says and that makes my face turn red from embarassment.

"Dad seriously." I say and run to my room from embarrassment.

Once I get to my I plop on my bed face first and groan into the pillow.

I pick up my phone and dial Jake's number.

It rings a few times then goes to voice mail. What could he be doing I ask myself. Then i feel the sharp pain but it doesn't last long he must have transformed.

I go to my drawers under my computer desk and pull out the photo albums my mother helped me put together they were mostly pictures of me and my dad a few with mom. And alot of me and jake playing together.

There is a picture of me and him on Easter one day I'm wearing a white dress with blue flowers and jake was wearing bluejeans and a plaid blue shirt we were in my backyard.

Jake was sitting in a chair and I'm putting my bucket over his head in the next picture he is chasing me. The next picture he tackled me and is tickling me. This picture is so full of life it makes me laugh.

I hear a knock on my door. It's Charlie.

"They need me at the station so I have to go." He says.

"Okay." I say.

"Their are leftovers in the fridge or if you want something else their is other things in the cabinet I don't know how long I will be gone." He says.

"Okay be safe." I say.

"Always am." He says and leaves.

I go back to looking at the photo album Jake still hasn't called me back.

Jake what are you doing. I say an picture him reviving it.

Nothing don't worry everything is fine why are you so happy what did u find? He asks.

Photo album pictures of us from Easter at our house I say.

Then I see it a shadowy figure in the corner of my forest outside my window.

Then it disappears I grab my coat and walk outside to where he was but nothing is there. I walk farther into the forest and still don't see it. I'm about to leave when I spot the shadow. Then it disappears again I keep following it and I finally end up in a clearing the clearing Edward brought me to.

Built up feelings and memories flood my head and I start to cry. I fall to my knees.

Bella what's wrong where are you don't go outside into the woods laurant is back. He says.

"Don't cry pretty girl you smell too good." A voice I know says.

Too late I'm sorry Jake. I say.
