Chapter 10

Bella

I feel his anger. I push Edward away and see Jake walking away from the house.

I run after Jake Edward is yelling after me.

"Jacob stop!" I yell.

"Why! Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just leave you here with him."

"Because Jake I don't love him. You were the one who stayed by my side, you were the one who promised you would never ever leave me but you are leaving me now. Your breaking your promise Jake. I thought I could trust you to mend my heart to fill the void and make me want to love again." I'm on the verge of tears right now.

"Then why did you kiss him?" He asks.

"I didn't kiss him he kissed me!" I yell at him.

"Then prove it my dad says if the bond is strong enough if you can achieve your hearts desire then you can show me what you see." He says.

"What do you mean hearts desire" I ask.

"He means do you love me or him more" Edward says.

"Stay out of this bloodsucker" Jake says.

"You have no say in this you left her" Jake says.

"If I didn't leave her she would have been killed" Edward says.

"Then why did you come back." Jake asks.

"Because I found a way to be with her and her not get killed." Edward explains.

"Well you can't just walk back into my life after the months you have been gone." I say.

"I'm sorry bella can you just give me a chance to start over and win you love back." Edward pleads.

"Ha your too late any way I made a blood moon imprint on her." Jake says.

"No this isn't true tell me it's not bella." Edward says and takes another step towards me.

"What does it matter to you you didn't even love me enough to stay." I yell at him.

"I love Jake he is my hearts desire." As soon as I said that a feeling washed through me. Then it disappears.

"What just happened?" I asked Jake.

We have achieved hearts desire it means you love me more than him. He says through his mind to me and I can se how he looks at me like I'm the only one in the world worth fighting for.

"Do you really feel as if I'm the only person worth fighting for." I ask.

"Yes bella because I love you I always have." He walks over to me and wraps me in a warm embrace.

"I see you have made your choice" Edward says.

I walk over to him leaving about five feet between us.

"Edward I'm sorry it ended up this way but I'm happy with Jake and you have to understand that." I tell him.

"I do understand I just don't accept it you will live to regret your choice." Before I can even flinch I feel a sharp pain in my neck then its gone. Edward is gone I'm wrapped in warm arms pain is coursing through my veins. But then it's replaced with a warmth.

Bella hold on I've taken some of your pain away just hold on a little longer.

Jake I don't want to be a vampire.

I know bella just wait a little longer.

Jacob

It's dark by the time we get back to the reservation we are both covered in sweat. I lay her on the couch next to my dad. Mom comes running in the room horrified good thing quil and emery arnt here.

"DAD is there anyway we can stop her from transforming." I ask.

"The only way to return her to human is by having a vampire remove the venom." He says.

"Now their is another way but you might not like it"he says

"What is it I will do anything to save her." I plead.

"Inject the bite wound with your blood will stop her from transforming into a vampire but will turn her into a werewolf like you." He explains and I'm horrified.

"It's her choice." I say .

I kneel to the ground and take her hand in mine.

We don't have much time bells you have 2 opinions become a vampire or I inject you with my blood and you become a wolf.

There is a long silence just as I'm about to ask her again she responds.

Inject me I want to be with you forever.

I do as she says dad hands me a needle and I jab it into my vein I draw some blood out.

"This will hurt a little bit but don't worry the pain will be gone soon." I gently kiss her lips and inject her with my blood

She screams in pain I can bear feeling her pain anymore so I pass out in the floor.

I wake up to someone shaking me.

"Jake, Jake, wake up." Its my dad nudging next with his foot.

"H-how long was I out" I ask.

"About an hour" my mom says.

"Look she is waking up." Dad says.

"Jake." She says with a horse voice.
