Blood Moon (A Twilight Fanfic)

Chapter 8

Bella

I slowly stand up and turn around I wipe my tears from my face.

"Laurant didn't expect you to be back I thought you left for good." I said trying to not sound scared.

"I got word that the Cullen's had left and ended up leaving their little pet human here so I had to check it out myself." He said.

"Well now you have seen you can leave now." I said in a threatening tone.

"Oh but I don't want to you smell so good." He says and takes a step closer to me.

Bella don't move and don't turn around I am behind you tell him to leave again and if he don't s run just run.

"You don't belong here just leave now or it won't be pretty." I say almost yell.

"Don't talk to me in that tone im really sick and tired of you pesky humans you know what I'm gonna leave a present for Edward your lifeless body on his doorstep." He says and lunges at me.

Run

I do and run towards the woods behind me and out come five wolves. They all charge laurant.

The black one almost gets him buy now I'm at the edge of the woods. Just watching why am I standing here I should be running.

Laurant happens to escape the black wolf and charges right for Jake.

"Jacob behind you." I say but its to late laurant laches onto Jacobs back. And all you hear is a loud crack and a howl. I feel the pain laurant broke his ribs.

The black wolf grabs on to laurants head and rips it off. The body falls limp to the ground.

I run strait for Jake he has turned back into human form and is lying in a fetal position on the ground screaming from pain.

"Jake I'm here" I say and move his head into my lap. He disent respond he is in so much pain he doesent know I'm here. I look and see dark purple blue bruises forming on his abdomen where the ribs are broken. I try to ignore the fact that he is completely naked right now.

One of the guys embry i think his name is comes running up to us and quickly dressed jake in a pair of shorts. Then two other guys and a girl come up to us too one of the guys is quill and I don't know the other guy and girl.

"I felt it he has broken four ribs two on each side." I say.

"Wait you felt it what do you mean." The girl asks.

"They have the blood moon imprint." The older guy say.

"I will grab Jacob. Quill, Embry, take Bella back to her house. Bella when you get back to your house you can come over to the reservation in your truck. By the way I'm Sam the pack leader." The sam says.

By the time we get back to my house its dark im shaking with fear that Jacob won't survive. I'm covered in mud from where I fell to my knees.

"Let me change real quick ok." I tell them.

They nod And run back up to my room i find a pair of sweatpants in my drawer and a sweatshirt on my chair. When I put it on its really big I realize its the one Jacob left here this morning.

I hurry up and go outside.

"Hand me the keys" embry says.

"But-" I start to say.

"You can't drive like that don't worry embry is a pretty good driver." Quill says.

I nod the drive to the reservation seemed long. Once we got there I jumped out and ran to the garage to his room. Sam was there wrapping his chest in gauze.

"He is still under anesthesia but he should wake up in 15 or 30 minutes." He says.

"Is he going to be okay." I ask hesitant.

"Yeah he will be fine give him a week and he will be all healed. We heal really fast." Sam says.

"Oh okay." I say.

Just before he leaves I say. "Sam thank you." He just nods and leaves.

I sit beside him and grab his hand in mine. And just sit there and watch him sleep. About ten minutes he starts  to wake up.

"Hey sleepy head." I say.

He turns his head and sees me. "Hey did they get him." He asks.

I nod "how you feeling." I ask.

"Feel like crap." He says and groans in pain. He tries to sit up but I stop him.

"No you need to lay down you broke four ribs and don tell me it doesn't hurt because I felt it I felt the pain he caused you." Tears start to run down my face.

"I was so scared Jake. So scared I was gonna lose you to just like him. I don't want to be alone again." I'm full on crying now.

"Bells look at me" he says he is sitting up now. He tilts my chin upward so I'm looking at him.

"Your not going to lose me ever." He says and kisses me he kisses me softly gently as if I'm about to break and maybe I might. Just the thought of losing him makes my hear ache.

"Come here" he says and scoots over on the twin size mattress to make room for me.

I lay next to him careful not to touch his abdomen where he has the bandages.

"So what happened with your dad? He asks I nuzzle my head into the crook of his arm.

"Oh um he tried to give me the sex talk. And told me he put condoms in my night stand drawer." I said and tried to cover up my embarrassment.

He just chuckles. "Nice to know that he at least approves of me." He says.

"Yeah why wouldn't he he lives you like a son anyway." I tell him.

"True by the way is that my hoodie." He asks pointing to the hoodie I'm wearing.

"Maybe" I say.

"I want that back its my favorite one." He says.

"But I'm not wearing a shirt under it." I say.

"Fine you can keep it for now. But I want it back eventually." He says I nod. We lay like that for a bout a hour he finally falls a sleep. So I get up and I'm about to leave. But before i leave i lean over him and gently kiss him on the lips.

"I love you." I whisper and turn to leave.

"I love you to bells." Jake says and I turn to see him fast asleep again.
