“Hey Khun could you pass me a wrench?” calls Taecyeon rolling out from under the car on his back, wiping his greasy hands onto his white shirt.
Nickhun grabs a wrench from the tool box and hands it to him. Nickhun is another one of Taecyeon’s closest friends who have known each other since he got back to Korea, so pretty much since their freshman year of high school. He is also from America, even though he is originally from Thailand, and he went to the same college as Taecyeon and Wooyoung, making him a close friend of Wooyoung as well. He got a mechanics major just like Taecyeon and now they work together in his Taecyeon’s father’s shop.
“And, good as knew” he exclaims proudly rolling back out from under the car and getting into a sitting up position on the creeper(skateboard thing they use to get under cars and stuff).
“Show off” Khun muttered as he threw a rag at him.
“Hey I don’t just own the place, I own the place” he says wiping his hands with the rag.
“You don’t own the place just yet, and probably never will mister business drop out.”
“I thought we went over this. Now help me bring the car down.” Taecyeon says throwing the rag bag at Khun and rising from the ground.
As they lower the jack bringing the car to the ground, Wooyoung comes in with a box of donuts.
“I’m back, and I brought you guys a treat.” Wooyoung calls out.
Taecyeon and Nickhun walk over to Wooyoung at the table to take a break since they finished the car. They all grab a donut and take huge man bites except for Wooyoung who ate it normally. They looked at him oddly with slight smirks at his weak appearance since he was wearing a suit while Taec and Khun were wearing worn out jeans and grease stained shirts.
“Hey, you guys are the macho mechanics here; I’m just a business man.” He defended causing both of them to laugh.
“Hey Khun, how’s Victoria?” Taecyeon asked grabbing another donut from the box. Victoria is Nickhun’s girlfriend of 4 years.
Nickhun shrugged, “Great actually, you know, I’m thinking about proposing to her soon.”
Wooyoung nodded and high fived him as Taecyeon rolled his eyes and groaned in annoyance. Nickhun and Wooyoung looked at each other then back at Taecyeon. Since they both knew Taecyeon acts like this whenever they talk about relationships.
“What is it this time?” asks Wooyoung.
“Yeah, you were the one that brought her up.” Khun adds.
Taecyeon shrugs then takes another bite. He waits till he chews and swallows the bite before speaking again.
“It’s just; everyone I know is getting engaged. Damn, even Jay is thinking about it?”
Khun nearly chokes on hit bite, “Jay?! With that Jessica girl?”
“No with me, yes with Jessica!”
“Jeez, and why are you so against it?”
“I’m not against it. I just don’t understand how you guys can be so committed to a girl” Taecyeon revealed.
“It’s called love dude, you should try it sometime.” joked Wooyoung.
“Yeah, speaking of which, is anyone catching your eye lately?” asked Nickhun lightly punching him in the shoulder.
A very obvious girl suddenly popped into his head, her smile, her voice, her eyes, just the thought of her turned his ears red in an instant. He tried not to make it obvious.
Wooyoung and Nickhun smirked and looked at each other and back at Taecyeon again. Because both of them know, his ears never lie. And he hasn’t acted this way about a girl since his last girlfriend he broke up with 2 years ago.
“Hey Wooyoung check it out, Taec has a crush~” Nickhun teases, saying the last part with a girly tone.
“Very funny, and so what, It’s probably nothing”
Wooyoung scoffs, “You know I thought the exact same thing when I first met Taeyeon.”
“Same for Victoria, now look at us.” Nickhun continues.
“Ugh, it’s that Tiffany girl I have been living with.” He reveals.
“I knew it!” exclaimed Khunyoung following with another high five.
Taecyeon leans on the table on his side folding his arms, “I don’t know, it’s just, there’s something different about her. She pops into my head so often, simple words like ‘girl’ or ‘sugar’ would remind of her.”
“Sugar?” asks Wooyoung
“She really liked sugar and sweet things okay.”
He could hear the two boys snickering.
Wooyoung leaned over to whisper something to Nickhun, “He’s in love” whispered Wooyoung.
“I know” Khun whispered back.
He looked at them suspiciously, “What?”
“Taec, you need to confess to her before it’s too late.” advised Wooyoung.
“She just ended a long term relationship, what makes you think she will be looking for one now, I have a lot of time.”
He let out a big sigh and rolled his eyes, “I’ve known Tiffany for 5 years now, and knowing her, she moves on really fast. And trust me; you don’t have as much time as you think.”
“What do you mean?’
Wooyoung actually knew about Tiffany’s illness, due to being the lover of her best friend and all, she felt that she could trust him. Wooyoung was also a good friend of Tiffany and he knows very well how much she hates in when people find out. He feels Taecyeon should find out when Tiffany feels the time is right.
“It’s complicated.” He answered.
“Fine, but, what if she doesn’t feel the same way?”
Nickhun lays his hand on Taecyeon’s shoulder. “Sorry Taec, as hard as it is going to be there is only one way to know for sure.”
Taecyeon shrugs and puts on his leather jacket, “I’ll think about it. Well, I’m done here. Come on Wooyoung-ah, we have to pick up the girls from the airport now.”
Wooyoung nods and follows him out of the garage leaving Nickhun his turn to close up the shop.
