Waking up at 6:30 AM on a Saturday is something a teen like me wouldn't normally do. Not unless your brother jumps on the bed crying your name.
"Daniel! Wake up, Dan!"
"What?"
I opened my eyes to jake, my younger brother, sitting right on top of me.
"Mom and dad are gone!"
I turned trying to avoid him.
"They're probably at work Jake. Let me sleep!"
"Daniel, it's Saturday! Their cars are still here! And Vanessa-"
He stops and cries silently, I rolled my eyes annoyed.
"Nessa, what?"
"She's gone too."
Jake ran downstairs, weird for him to act more like my baby brother than my triplet. I'm the oldest, by two minutes. Vanessa is the youngest and only sister. We're all 15 and don't look alike like most triplets do. I'm always protective, and always go running to help them. But this time...
"DANIEL! Come here, please!"
...this time it's Saturday.
''I'm coming! I'm coming!''
I dragged myself out of bed, down the stairs. When I got to the last steps, I notice the front door open. When I checked, Jake was outside on our front yard, crying silently.
This was crazy, and really frustrating me at this point. We only cry like that when we're scared or panicked, but that was when we were kids. Haven't seen him cry like that in years.
''What's wrong?"
I take a step out closer to him, noticing his nose begins to bleed.
"Jake come in now, let's talk."
He stops crying and just stares. His rose cheeks covered on tears.
"Come on Jake, I'll make hot chocolate. Chill and tell me what's wrong.''
Move-less, he starts to worry me. His gaze turns to something behind. When I turn, I see Vanessa, also with the red dried blood running down her nose.
"What the hell is going on!"
I had lost it already. None of this was making any sense.
"Both of you go back to the room! Now!''
Not one of them moved a muscle. Vanessa closed her eyes as she faints right in front of me, I quickly reached as she fell into my arms.
"Nessa, Nessa wake up."
I turn to Jake for help. He's gone, my head flips back to her as she starts to mumble and whisper something.
" A Sagittarius is sitting in an empty room,"
She breathes heavily.
"on an empty house on an empty world with a not so empty heart."
Now I thought I had really lost it.
"What?"
"The last man in earth sits on the floor looking out a window." She continues. "There's a knock on the door."
She vanishes into thin air right before my eyes. I look around noticing I was no longer outside. I appeared in a room, dark and big. Wooden floor, wooden tall ceiling.
I wiped off the warm tears running down my cheeks into my chin. When I look up again, there was a guy, sitting in front of a huge window, staring at it, as Vanessa had told me.
