The characters and title of the story rightfully belong to Rick Riordan. I only claim the ideas used for the plot. This is in no way the official fourth book of the Heroes of Olympus; it is only how I imagine what would happen and is entirely a FAN FICTION.

The wonderful fanarts used for my cover were made by drNightFlower on Deviantart. Credits go to drNightFlower! Go check out her Deviantart here: http://drnightflower.deviantart.com/

No stealing of my cover, please. If you do, two people shall sue you - the artist who did the fanarts on it/drNightFlower and me.

I hope you enjoy my version of The House of Hades.

Piper

After failing to accomplish her job as mediator at Camp Jupiter earlier that week, Piper was absolutely determined to do things right this time. With Percy and Annabeth gone, the most experienced campers they had on the ship, she knew she had to restore peace between the two camps, or else.

Or else, everybody will probably die, Piper thought miserably.

She knew this was the reason why Aphrodite gave her this gift. She would be the bridge that would connect the opposing sides to work as one and overcome Gaea.

They weren't sure the plan was going to work. Her mom had already troubled herself, though they were forbidden contact, to give her something.

Piper was worried that she was asking for too much, even if it was Aphrodite who decided to give her the powerful yet extremely dangerous 'gifts', as the goddess had put it.

Just recently, while she was napping, Aphrodite appeared in her dreams and gave her three vials. The vials would make her ridiculously more beautiful and boost her charmspeak twofold for about two hours but it would knock her out for a full day once it wore off.

She would only have to drink one for the back-up plan, because the consequences were dangerous. Nothing could wake her up from the twenty-four hour sleep spell, so she still needed more help from Aphrodite.

Jason had already sent a message to camp to prepare for the attack of the Romans, though the Ares cabin didn't exactly understand why they weren't supposed to fight them back.

They left Rome sundown, and though their next stop was Greece to rescue Percy and Annabeth, they changed course and decided to help Camp Half-Blood first. They figured trying to find the Doors of Death in Tartarus would take some time, especially with Arachne and Gaea's forces still lurking.

They would be wasting time sailing to Epirus and trying to find the Doors of Death before Percy and Annabeth could while the Romans were beating the pulp out of the Greeks, which would just make everything more complicated.

Leo had studied Arichmedes' scrolls and built a new engine part that would temporarily boost the ship's speed to make the trip three times faster, since the team worked out that the Romans would probably be attacking by after midnight, when most of the campers were asleep and the harpies done with their night duty.

Though they didn't tell the Romans about Camp Half-Blood's daily schedule and routine, they had to take precautionary measures. They wouldn't risk slipping up.

Piper was the one who first thought up of the plan. It sounded crazy, but it could be the only way to effectively stop the Romans. Piper hoped that her mother would see how much she needed her help and take pity.

As the Argo II landed on a clearing near the woods, they saw that there were still no signs of any Romans. That's a good thing, Piper thought. They still needed more time to polish their plan.
