Bat-Napped

Chapter 3

Nobody knew how he got there, but they feared what it meant.

Damien Wayne has been found on the steps of the manor, covered in blood, slightly bruised with a few cuts and scrapes, but also in a coma due to him being given too much sedatives by his captors. A flash drive had been taped to his onesie and that alone worried everyone, they needed to see what was on it so they plugged it into the computer and everyone gathered round it.

It started by showing Regina being held by vines, and everyone felt sick when they saw her appearance. She was bloody and still losing blood, her skin was very pale, and she had a scared expression on her face.

'I agree, but I much rather her be the first test subject for my new toxin. Seeing as she already tried to escape.' Scarecrow's Said, and everyone paled. They heard what sounded like Harley laughing, and some henchmen brought in a medical table. Regina looked terrified, hell, they were terrified because a medical bed meant only one thing if Scarecrow was around, it meant fear toxin was gonna be used.

They watched Tim getting strapped to a chair, and they saw Regina manage to turn her head and glance at her brother. He was being duck taped to a wooden chair, but that's all she was able to do as she was held down on the stupid gurney like thing. Then strapped down with Bane and Crock tested straps, so everyone knew she had no chance of breaking out of them. They where done so that even a sane person would find it near impossible to escape, and she was too scared to realize this.

Regina cried out as the tape was ripped off her mouth, and she looked at her brother. 'T-Timmy, no matter what happens, y-you're gonna be ok, everything will be ok.' Everyone felt tears in their eyes at the sound of her voice, shaking and quavering as she tried to reassure her little brother.

Tim nodded his head and he was shaking horribly and was white as paper, Regina's face got grabbed and she was forced to look at Scarecrow as he held up a clear liquid in a syringe.

'You get to try out my new toxin kid, it always makes me shiver when I hear someone try out my toxins. It's always enticing to see my test subjects think I'm giving them a shot, but I'm giving them a dose of fear.'

Everyone saw Regina's eyes go wide as saucers and her pupils were shrunken just out of the fear his words brought her. Scarecrow let go of her face and they saw the needle getting slipped into her arm. Regina turned and looked at Tim with a tear falling from her eye, 'I love you Timmy, and whatever happens, remember it isn't your fault. Ok?' She Said and he nodded with wide eyes that were leaking tears, Regina's eyes began to fog from the new hallucinogen, but she kept her gaze on Tim.

'Timmy, everything's gonna be ok. Just-just stay strong for me, and we're gonna be fine.' He nodded once again and then Regina was lost to the grip of fear.

Everyone started crying as they heard the scream Regina let out once her mind was taken over by fear, it was pure and raw and just overflowing with pure terror. She began to thrash around and kept screaming at the top of her lungs, she screamed incomprehensible words in English and Romani, and tears where streaming from her eyes as she kept seeing whatever nightmare was now consuming her mind.

The video suddenly stopped and everyone looked at Bruce who had tears streaming down his face and his son pressed tightly against his side with a similar expression of horror frozen on his face. Bruce's knees gave out and he fell to his knees and his son did too but he quickly buried his face in his father's side and sobbed while Bruce looked at Jim.

"J-Jim. H-he used my daughter, m-my l-little girl a-as a t-test subject. S-she's b-being tortured," and Jim's heart broke at the sight of his friend breaking down. He knew what Bruce has lost and just how much his daughter meant to him, especially considering that she was with her mother the night she was killed.

"I know Bruce, and we will find her."

Bruce just closed his eyes and held his son close, trying to push the sound of his daughters terrified screams out of his mind.

The team was shocked to see probably one of the most powerful men on the planet break down, and they knew he cared deeply for his children and that this was killing him on the inside.
