_song: welcome to my playground - nct 127_

_ok ya'll chen is getting married and is going to be a father. i'm gonna cry i'm so happy :,)_

alright~ so, this is quite different. i have decided, every time we hit a milestone(5k, 10k, etc.), i will let out an information chapter on each kind of creature that is involved in the story.

there are six breeds of creatures in totals, although there can be crossbreeds between the creatures.

werewolves

vampires

shapeshifters

mermaids

angels

and demons

we will be starting with werewolves, then going down the list in order as we hit milestones. of course, the information is my own little spin-off of other versions of the creature that i have seen.

i might add a few crossbreeds-

hope you like the idea :) there will be a real chapter coming out right after this, so except that as well.

enjoy <3

(p.s, yes some of this is foreshadowing ;)

~~~~~
werewolves were first discovered in the 1930s, though they are said to have existed far before. folklore says that the beast only becomes a wolf during the full moon, that is incorrect. they can shift from human to wolf at will, which in the eyes of a human makes them even more dangerous.
ten years later, around 1940, was when the werewolf was beginning to be hunted for their fur pelt, the thought that they were dangerous, and even purely for sport. though, that didn't make them easy to kill. werewolves are near twice the size as a normal wolf, so though they are easy to spot compared to a wolf, they are also twice as dangerous.
the only way that the werewolf can be killed by human hands is not with silver, like typical fairytales state, but by merely hitting their heart in any way. werewolves can not bleed to death, unless in human form. if a werewolf is killed, it turns to its wolf form, despite the form it had taken in death.
werewolves can die from things such as disease and illness, but it takes much, much more to kill them than it would a human.
by 1960, werewolves were thought to be extinct. though, that is incorrect. most werewolf packs are afraid of being hunted again, so they tend to hide their true form at all costs.
werewolf pack alphas(such as chris bang, kim hongjoong, and suho) have the ability to telepathically speak to other alphas within a 5-mile radius. most wolves have their own interpretation of why they have this power, but it is not confirmed. whether a born heir or a fought right, it doesn't matter.
only full blood wolves(born a werewolf) can transform a human to wolf.
on a non-full blood werewolf, there is a pressure point. this pressure point is wherever they were bitten as a human to turn them into a werewolf. this is most commonly used among packs when fights break out between two pack members. if the spot of pressed hard enough, said werewolf will fall unconscious for a certain amount of time, typically two hours.
side effects can include aching around the area, slight headache, sometimes dizziness, and, more rarely, bruising around the area.
this method can only work if a werewolf is in their human form.
when a werewolf falls in love(whether it be a fellow wolf, vampire, human or any other creature) and can't mark them, or have not, they feel an agonizing, breathless pain throughout their chest, heart, and lungs. when touched by anyone other than their love, they feel a searing in the area.
although, being around and being touched by the one they love eases the pain.
werewolves call this kind of love, "puppy love".
the only way to cure the pain is to mark the love, fall out of love, or someone else marks them.
werewolf puppies can be born either in litters or alone. werewolves typically give birth in their wolf form, to make things easier, especially if they have a litter. litters can consist of up to 5 pups. werewolf pups are born in their wolf form and after a few hours of care, turn human.
although, there is a chance that a werewolf can give birth to a human. between two full-blood werewolves, it is near impossible, but between two changed or a changed and a human, the chance is incredibly higher. a human being born into a werewolf pack is incredibly dangerous for the child, so the pack either gives up the child to a human family or waits for the child's 7th birthday to transform them.
heats are for both males and females, although females experience a more painful heat. a heats pain can be eased by physical contact(only from pack members/significant other) and exercise such as running or any physical workout. heats typically last 3 weeks, if not treated properly. to treat a werewolf in heat, they need to be hydrating at all times, be kept in a cold room or area, and moving around at least occasionally.
if treated properly, a heat can last up to one week.
another, very uncommon way of easing a heats pain, is sexual intercourse(doesn't matter whom). although, this method not used often, due to either jealousy between packs, or purely just embarrassment. and, often werewolf packs consist of one gender, so it is more difficult. though, not impossible. this method is often left as last resort.
more recently, around 2010, a man claims to have seen a werewolf prowling the edge of the forest. a few days after the rumor was spread, the man was never seen alive again. a few or so after his disappearance, his dead body was found in a river that ran through the forest. it was thought as first that he either drowned himself or fell in and couldn't swim out. but, the bruises littering his neck said otherwise.
