He couldn't stop staring at the boy infront of him. Eye's glued to the face of the blond haired boy, sitting there writing down his math homework. This simple act seemed so entrancing to watch, and he couldn't think of why that was.
He had already done his own work long ago as it was easy enough for him. Being one of those student's who are just naturally smart and have no problem doing math. It was like a game to him, just have to figure out the rules to play first.
The boy sitting infront of him chewed the pencil eraser giving the paper before him a confused look. The one looking at him silently smiled in amusement.
He wanted to offer help but the class was pretty quiet and no one was really talking. Most were sleeping or doing something else, so he didn't want to bring attention to himself or come off as weird. So instead he ripped a sliver of paper and wrote a little note.
Folding it up he swiftly tossed it to the boy's desk.
Watching in utter anticipation, the blond boy was startled at first. He glanced around him to see who threw it and the other boy looked away fast. His heart was racing, as he heard the paper being unfolded.
He looked back at the boy and the blondie had his whole face covered in a red blush. Perhaps he was startled at the paper, or someone offering help. The red flush did make his freckles pop out though.. Cute.
Red faced boy with the blond hair spun around in the plastic chair, eyes instantly locking with the other.
"You threw this?"
His voice was higher pitched than he thought. An innocent tone to it, adorable.
"Yes.. I thought you could use some help on the worksheet. So i wrote some tips on the paper." The nerd boy replied, feeling his heart tick.
Blond boy gave a toothy grin, and giggled. The other boy was awestruck. What a perfect little laugh.. And that smile.. It was like this boy was made of sugar and sunshine.
"Thanks, these problems are pretty difficult."
He got back to doing his work, glancing at the paper now and again. The other male was starstruck, his heart starting to steam. He knew this was a bad idea, to fall head over heels for anyone.. But it felt so right.
Quickly he put his hand over his chest as the white steam erupted from his mechanical heart.
Shit-
"Hey you ok?-"
The boy just painfully smiled, "im fine!" He lied, arms now crossed over his chest.
"Stomach hurts i gotta go-"
Before any more words were exchanged, he ran off. The gears screeching, white steam erupting from every tiny crack. He had one rule to follow, and he broke it.
Never to fall in love.

Totally didn't get this idea from that one weird movie where a boy has a coo coo clock heart-
