Sodapop's pov:

OK, this is happening. I just found out I have a twin sister and everything starts to feel like it could be going right. Then Ponyboy decides to make her feel bad two minutes after she got here. He sure didn't need to think long to make her cry. I'm not sure what to do when a girl cries so I turned her around and started hugging her. I'm kind of just standing here letting her cry on me not really knowing what to say.

"Don't cry it will be OK. He's not good with change. He'll love you once he gets to know you. This will all make sense in no time." I whisper feeling like maybe it was what she needed to hear.

So much is running through my head right now. I was real hurt Phoebe and Ponyboy didn't get along right away, I mean; I just met her but I feel like this is a good new start for her. She seems real tuff and I don't know anything about what shes been through. Its been hard since our parents died being the middle child between Darry and Ponyboy's fighting is harder than everyone thinks. Everyone depends on me to make them smile even when I barely can. I'm just the friend everyone looks to, to cheer them up but no ones trying to make me feel better. I guess the gang thinks I have it better than them. I think everything will turn up with another person in the gang. I totally zoned out but snapped back as I saw Darry walking towards the hallway and heard the gang walking out the front door. I heard Phoebe take a deep breath and she steps back and looks  up at me even though were basically the same height.

"Soda, why didn't they want me?"

Did she really just say ? My parents were the nicest people on earth, and there was no way they could have a girl and not want her. They were the most loving people and I'm positive giving up phoebe was probably one of the hardest things they had to do.

"Oh phoebe don't say that I'm sure there is an explanation. Let's call out aunt later OK?" I smiled at her trying to cheer her up. She instantly beamed back. Is that really what my smile looks like? Dang, no wonder everyone loves me.

"OK" she sighed.

"For now should we move my stuff into my room?" she asked while looking up at my eyes.

It was like looking into a mirror. After a second I processed what she said and nodded while reaching for her boxes. We both pick up two boxes and I lead her to her room. When we walked in we both dropped the boxes into the same spot and started laughing. When we stopped she sat down on the floor and pulled a cheap plain black switch out of her pocket. She cut open the box in front of her and started pulling things out while I sat on her new bed. I could hear the muffled talking of Darry and Ponyboy but I could tell she was trying to ignore it.

"So are you excited for your new life in Tulsa?" I just remembered I barely know her so I should start a conversation.

"Uhm pretty much. I didn't know what to expect when i got here because my- our aunt made me buy this knife before I left. It kinda spooked me at first, but I'm still real excited." she replied but not seeming to say everything on her mind. i waited a few seconds to see if she wanted to finish off her thoughts.

"Sodapop I really want Ponyboy to like me. I can just tell how much you love him and how much he means to you." She cut off her own thought there and she set down the book she was holding on top of the new dresser and turned to me.

"So uh the people you called "the gang" are they your friends or something? There sure was a lot of them." She added after cutting herself off.

"Oh yeah, me Darry and Ponyboy all grew up with them. We're all kind of like a family. I'm positive they will all love to have a sister now too" I reply walking to the door.

"and so will Ponyboy." I add walking out closing the door behind me. Now I need to go the kitchen to check what Darry could make for dinner.

Ponyboys pov:

I'm sick of Darry being such a drag. He just left my room, probably to make dinner. I don't even feel hungry, i don't want to eat if Phoebe is going to be there. She seems like shes nice but I don't want to get to know her. I guess I understand what I did wrong but i just don't see why they are so quick to trust her. I sure wish they told me about this, for all I know they know nothing about her. I feel like Darry just wants to replace me. I mean sure, we started getting along real well after he thought he lost me but I feel like this is his way of getting a new little sibling.

Phoebe's pov:

"and Ponyboy too." Sodapop adds as he walks out of my room. I could hear him start whistling I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles as he walked down the hallway, Which was real funny because that was my favorite song. I could still hear the muffled talking of Ponyboy and Darry through the wall but I decided not to listen in, it wasn't my place to. I totally forgot to finish unpacking so I start to finish that. I took out some clothes and put them into my dresser. There was a poster at the bottom of my box and I think it would look good on the wall I share with Ponyboy and Sodapop. I start hanging up the poster and slowly put my head against the wall. I could hear them super clearly and immediately took my head off the wall, I didn't listen long enough to understand anything. "I shouldn't be doing this it really isn't my business" I think to myself, then i put my head back against the wall.

"Ponyboy you cant pretend she isn't here until you're ready!" I hear Darry explain sighing at Ponyboy.

"Well I can sure try!" Ponyboy yells back. I hear foot steps. Open. Close. More footsteps. Knock. I open my door. Its Darry... Obviously.

"Heya pepsi-cola ready for dinner?"
