It was already after midnight when Hoseok suddenly heard something breaking. The sound came from the living room together combined with a whispered curse. For a while he just sat in his bed, listening. Maybe he also only dreamed it. But there was it again. This time another voice. So there WAS someone in his apartment and this someone wasn't alone. And not that silent either.

He stretched out his hand to find the next object to throw at them if they would come in. He got his hand on the medicine book he had read before falling asleep. With the book in his hand, he slowly crawled out of the bed and walked to the door of his room as quiet as possible. He heard them passing by the door and searching through the other rooms. He slowly opened the door, careful not to make any sound.

They couldn't be that professional yet they had managed to get into his apartment. Howsoever though. Normally it was impossible for any stranger to get into this complex without an ID. But those two burglars proved him otherwise. He followed them to his office and peeked into the room, still careful that they wouldn't see him. Maybe he could catch a quick view of their faces. But all he could see was a tall figure standing in front of his bookshelf, probably valuing how much those books would bring if they would sell them. Not that much though since most of them were just medicine studying books he had once bought and just kept for a sentimental reason.

It was that moment when he realized that the other burglar hadn't been following the tall guy yet. His heart skipped a beat when he noticed an air draft behind him. But before he even was able to react he felt a dull pain filling up his head and he moaned. The tall guy turned around surprised and the last thing Hoseok could see before losing consciousness was the dark eyes of the guy who looked at him in shock. Then he fell down to the ground and everything became black.

"Hoseok..."

"Hoseok.."

"Hoseok?"

He opened his eyes and for one moment was blinded by the loud white of the lamp above him. He blinked a few times before seeing clearer again. He tilted his head to the left and faced a familiar face. Kat, his girlfriend, was standing next to him. But why was her face plastered with worry? Did something happened?

He tried to sit but was stopped eventually by a stab of pain shooting through his head. "Ow..."

Kat immediately steps even closer to him than before, slowly and carefully taking his hand down, which he had automatically lead to the hurting part of his head.

"Shh Don't touch it. It's only been a few hours." She helped him sit and he leaned against the pillows in his back, only just now focusing on the room itself. It was obviously a hospital room. He could tell that by the spare furniture. But why was he here?

He looked at Kat, who had sit down onto a chair in the meantime. "What happened? Why am I here?" She took his hand again, interlacing their fingers. "Two men broke into your apartment and knocked you down. I've found you the next morning. I originally had planned to surprise you with self-made breakfast..." She stops as her voice began to crackle and tears slowly started to run down her face.

Hoseok looked at her and then slowly raised his other hand to wipe away the tears. She looked at him with teary eyes, leaning into his touch a little more. "I'm so glad that nothing worse happened, Hoseok. I was so afraid."

He gently smiled at her, trying to calm her down as good as possible. "Don't be. I'm fine. I just have a small headache, that's all." She nodded and then softly kissed him. "You're probably tired. I will leave you alone now. I'll come back tomorrow and also bring your parents. They are also worried sick."

He furrowed his brows. "They are here?" She smiled at him with a slight touch of pity. She maybe thought he was still confused because of the punch. He was though but not that confused.

"No, honey. They are at home. But they immediately came back from their trip as soon as they'd heard what happened. Ill bring them tomorrow, okay?"

He nodded tired and leaned back into the pillows even more, slightly closing his eyes. "Alright. Sleep well, baby. See you tomorrow."

With that she left the room, leaving him alone with his thoughts. He was kind of glad though because now he could concentrate on the important things. The eyes of the tall burglar, who had looked at him in shock after his accomplice had knocked him down.

Who was he? He needed to find out as soon as he was out of the hospital. Not because he wanted to get revenge but he wanted to know who this guy was. Something about him fascinated Hoseok. More than he was willing to admit at the moment. But he knew that he needed to find him.
