So, my college has like a flow chart that spans over 4 years in college. If you are pretty set on what you want to major in, see if any of your preferred colleges have a list of what you will need to take. Take as many of those classes in high school as AP or duel credit. Get those knocked out!! (For most of my engineering friends, we need English, speech, US Gov, calculus 1 and 2, chemistry, US history, and physics. Those can be considered 'basics')
