Camp Hope//A Hayes Grier Fanfiction

Chapter two

The girls and I just arrived to the bonfire area. I love how everyone is together and happy and all bonding.

I then see someone sitting by the dock by themselves, skimming rocks.

I go over to them and I notice that it's hayes. I suddenly get really nervous. Which is weird because I'm usually never ever afraid to talk to someone.

"Hi hayes!" I say and he turns around and smiles at me.

"Hi!" He says.

"Why aren't you over with everyone?" I ask.

"I'm not sure. I kindof just wanted to be alone for a while." He says.

"Oh I'm sorry!" i say and get up to walk away.

"No! It's fine! You can stay, I actually..enjoy you being here." He says and I smile at him.

"Okay.." I say and I feel this rush of hotness flow to my cheeks. I never really had a crush on a boy before. That sounds childish, but it's true.

"So," he starts, "tell me about yourself." He says.

"Well um, in destiny miller. I'm 14. Uhh I don't know, I like to read and write and draw. I don't know, I'm pretty boring." I say.

"I reject that." He smiles.

"What?" I ask.

"You're defiantly not boring, you're quite extraordinary." He says.

"Aw, well thank you." I smile, looking down at the ground.

"So um, tell me about you." I say.

"Well, I'm hayes obviously. Uhh well my brother and I are pretty famous I guess on this app called vine." He says.

"Oh? I've never heard of it." I say.

"Really? That explains why you're not freaking out." He laughs.

"Is that why you're over here?" I ask.

"Yup." he says.

"Well it's very nice to get to know you." I say.

"You too." He smiles.

Then Linda calls me over.

"Oh! It's starting, let's go!" I say, grabbing his hand and running. I go to a log and sit down with him.

"Hey guys! I'm linda, camp runner. Thanks for joining us for our 35th annual camp hope! I would like to introduce a former camper and now a counselor, Destiny Miller!" She says and I stand up and they clap blah blah blah. I hate being center of attention but I'm not afraid to public speak if that makes sense?

"Hey guys! So 5 years ago, I attended this camp. I used to be bullied, and it was hard. So I was looking to attend a camp like this. Then I found camp hope and fell in love. I love all the people that I camped with. It was a great experience to open up and be myself. Now, I am loved by everyone at school. Here's the thing, don't be afraid to be who you are." I say and go sit back down as everyone applauds for me.

"Good job!" Hayes says, putting his arm around me. My heart beat just sped up by 100000.

"Thank you." I smile.

the rest of the night was just spent going around and getting to know everyone.

Then this girl comes up to me at the end.

"Hi destiny, I'm Anissa." she smiles and we shake hands. Anissa_bruh

"Hi! Nice to meet you!" I say.
