3 month ago from today, Kuroo received a dog as a present from his mother. It was a Belgian shepard. It had long, glossy black hair, just like its owner. It was just a puppy when kuroo got the dog, so much training was needed. After the dog learned to sit, lay down, stay, and walk on a leash, kuroo decided that he would take him to a dog park not that far away from his house.
It was Saturday, there wasnt practise that day, the volleyball team he was in had a much needed break. Kuroo woke up around 7:00, the usual time.
"Ughhh" he groaned.
The dog started to whimper in excitement seeing its owner finally wake up. The dog leaped from its bed on the ground onto kuroo's bed and began to lick him.
"Hey, stop it, it's to early" he said in a groggy voice, but he didnt mind, he loved his pooch.
"I know, I know, I promised we would go to the park today". He yawned, stepped out of bed stretching his arms and back.
After taking a refreshing shower and feeding both him and his dog, he got dressed and left for the park.
Walking out of the apartment, he looked at his watch.
"Huh, only 7:45?". He looked down at his dog who was wagging her tail. "You're lucky I love you, usually I'd sleep in." He said while give his dog a scratch under the chin. So they started their walk to the park.
Once arriving there, Kuroo scanned the area. There were a few other dogs there along with there owners who all seemed just as tired as himself, except one person.
"HEY, HEY, HEY! That's ma boy".
After unhooking his dog from his leash, which soon ran off to greet the other dogs, Kuroo turned his head to see where that loud voice was coming from.
That's when he saw him, a handsome muscular man with black and grey hair, and the most beautiful eyes that Kuroo has ever had the pleasure to gaze into. The man was playing with his dog, which seemed to be a husky of some sort, playing with a frisbee. He saw him launch the frisbee into the air, sweat dripping off his biceps, then the dog catch the disc in mid-air.
"Impressive" he thought to himself. Suddenly, the black and grey haired man had noticed Kuroo and waved to him. Kuroo realized he had been staring and looked away, blushing a bit. The man waved again, but this time signaling for him to come over. Kuroo was hesitant, but he wanted to get to know this him. He walked over, the man greeted him with a huge smile, Kuroo blushed some more.
The man whistled and his dog came to him. He then snapped twice and the dog laid down.
"Hey, hey, hey" he said, continuing his smile. "What's your name?"
"Kuroo".
"Hello Kuroo, my name is Kotaro Bokuto. But you can just call me Bokuto. And this is Patch" he gestured down to his dog, which indeed had a large patch over one of his eyes.
"What type of dog is it" Kuroo asked while squatting down to pet the dog.
"Yakutian Laika, a type of husky" he answered.
"Knew it" he said in his head.
"It's a very cute dog" he said looking up at Bokuto, "and so are you" he said with his signature smirk. This made Bokuto blush a bit.
*coughs*
"Um, well, did you come here with a dog today?" Bokuto asked looking away. Kuroo stood up and looked around a bit realizing the his dog had left his side.
"One second", kuroo said turning around, then whistled so loud and high pitched all the dogs looking in their direction, and some people. Bokuto was in awe, never hearing a whistle like that. But only one dog came running over, his small black dog with the cutest look on herface.
"AWWWW, HE IS SO CUTE!!" Bokuto said while sitting on the ground to play with the dog. But the dog then hid behind Kuroo's legs.
"Ow, that hurt little guy" he said while slumped over. Kuroo let out a small chuckle and said
"Sorry about that, but SHE is a bit shy around new people" Kuroo said.
Patch then started licking Bokuto's face making him laugh.
"No, no, no staHp!" He said giggling a bit.
Kuroo began to blush at the big man's small giggle.
Patch had noticed the small black dog behind Kuroo's legs and walked over and started sniffing it. After a bit of sniffing, patch started to get excited and started to jump around, waiting for the small dog to join him. Once she was comfortable with patch, she began to play with him.
"Aww, what a sweetheart, what's her name" Bokuto asked while staring at the puppies play.
"Ughh, I haven't decided yet..."
"WHAT, SO WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN CALLING HER" Bokuto yelled while jumping to his feet.
"I have just been saying "Hey you" most of the time" Kuroo answered sheepishly.
"Well I have the PERFECT name!" Bokuto said.
"She shall be called..."
