"Drum roll please" bokuto said in sophisticated voice. Kuroo rolled his eyes then bent over and started to pat high legs. After a few second Bokuto shouted

"MAVIS!" he said with a large smile on his face and his eyes closed.

After a few moments of silence, Bokuto finally opened his eyes to see a dumbfounded look on Kuroo's face.

"Mavis?"

"Yes, you know, from that movie Hotel Transylvania! I watch it with my nephew when I baby sit him. It's the  perfect name, mavis is a bat and your dog has bat like ears!"

"Okay, I guess that could work". He said massaging his non-existent beard.

"YES, I KNEW YOU WOULD LIKE IT! Now, we have to get a customized collar. But maybe some time later, I have practise in a few".

"Oh, what do you play" Kuroo asked."Volleyball, I'm the Ace!" Bokuto answered standing up straight with a look of pride.

"Nice, so do I", he answered.

After about ten minutes of talking, Bokuto realized that he was gonna to be late for practise. So he hooked Patch back on his leash, and started running. After a few steps, he turned back around.

"Could I see you phone?" Bokuto asked gasping for air.

Kuroo had a confused look on his face.

"Oh, sorry, could I see your phone please?"

Kuroo chuckled and handed his phone over. After a few seconds, he handed his phone back.

"My number is saved on your phone, text me when you want to get the dog tag."

Then he bolted away.

Kuroo looked down at his and noticed he added an owl emoji next to his name, it took him a second to realize how similar he looked to an owl.

Kuroo smiled, a genuine smile, not his usual smirk. To bad Bokuto missed it. Not everyone can make him smile like that.

Bokuto had barely made it to his practise on time, everyone was already finished getting dressed. The team was stretching as bokuto changed his cloths. One of his teammates, the setter, Akaashi, spoke up.

"What to you so long to get here", he said in a somewhat serious tone, but Bokuto did notice.

"I was talking to a guy at the dog park", he said, huffing while he tried to get dressed.

"What was he like", everyone looked at him. They knew Akaashi had a crush on Bokuto, why would he ask a question like that.

"He was really cool, he looked like he would be mean, but once we got to talking he was nice. And he had the cutest dog, and even let me name it. We are gonna get a tag for her later.

"Oh", Akasshi sighed. All the player went silent and looked at each other.

Bokuto was oblivious and just ran out onto the court to start warming up.

Akaashi was heart-broken, the two didnt really talk for the rest of practice, which bummed the whole team out.

Later that day, Kuroo was in the kitchen making something to eat when his phone went off. Hearing the jingle, Kuroo went over to his phone and looked at it. It was a text from Bokuto. He started to feel butterflies in stomach, but he just shook his head and told himself.

"He is just a friend, he doesn't think one in that way, and I dont think of him like that." The opened his phone to look at the text.

Bokuto: Hey dude!

Kuroo: Hey, what's up?

Bokuto: We need to get Mavis her collar is Saturday good?

Kuroo: Yeah. How about 9?

Bokuto: Perfect! See you then!

Kuroo: See yeah

They texted each other regularly after that day. They planned to meet each other at the dog park where they first met each other.

*Time Skip*

Kuroo was excited to see Bokuto again. It's been about a week since their first encounter. They spoke with each other over the phone, but speaking face to face was just different. Bokuto's happy behavior could make anyone happy, and he was excited to feel like that again.

Kuroo woke up at about 7:00, he already had a smile on his face which excited Mavis too. They started their morning routine, take mavis out to use the bathroom, shower, then eat breakfast. When the 2 finished eating breakfast, Kuroo checked his phone, it was 8:30. He decided that he would just leave early. So he put Mavis on her leash, and left for the park.

While walking, he noticed that the sky was a bit gloomy that day, but it didnt bother him, Bokuto's smile would brighten the day.

Once he reaches the park, he saw Bokuto there with his dog. They were playing, and doing tricks. His dog is so talented he thought. Kuroo whistled which catched Bokuto and Patch's attention. They both whipped their heads around to see Kuroo and Mavis outside the gate. Bokuto put Patch back on his leash and ran to the gates door.

"Hey, hey, hey! How long you've been here?" Bokuto said as enthusiastically as usual.

"Just got here, you ready to go?" Kuroo answered.

"Yep!" Bokuto left the park and they made there way to the dog shop.

They slowly made there way to the dog shop, talking the while time. But Bokuto failed to say something. Once they got to the shop, bokuto was greeted by 2 other men.
