Meet my family

Callen's pov:
It kind of bugs me that I don't understand what Alejandra is saying on the phone. Especially since she said my name as well as Sam's. And at the end she again said the dreading love you. But I thought she was talking with Deeks? So, are those two an item? I mean I kind of would understand that, but why did she say she hopes kensi and Deeks can work this out?
So after she explained to Gibbs that she always tells them love you before ending the call, just like she does with him since they are her brothers. I was and still am more than relieved that she in fact is single and I might be able to try my luck with her. To be honest, I felt a connection with her right away as she scolded me for wanting to leave the hospital. But with her being Gibbs daughter and all, I tried to talk myself out of it. Now however I try to figure out how to win her heart!
Being in my own head with ideas of how to maybe get her to go out with me on a date, I didn't realize that kensi has arrived. Only when she lets herself fall into the chair next to me did I see her. But where the heck is Alejandra? She was just here, so how and when did she leave?
„Did Deeks learn a new language? And why wanted he to talk with Alejandra in privat?" she asks us all in wonder. Looking towards Sam and Gibbs, not knowing what to answer her. After all, we promised to not tell anyone. But this is Kensi! The one who was crying her eyes out since she thinks that she has no more chance to get together with Deeks.
„Kensi? I would love to introduce you to my family and I also think I should explain some things to you." Deeks says suddenly from the doorway. He looks unsure of what to say.
„Ok." kensi says but more like asks in return.
„are you guys coming? Should I like really do this Alejandra?" he questions to someone behind him, my guess his former team since he again used the same language as they always seem to use. He doesn't get a vocal answer though, no! Someone just pushes him into the room before following behind him.
„Ok. So that's Alejandra, Paul, Chris, Christian and I assume you already know Matthew. They are my family, have been for over 10 years." he tells her after clearing his throat.
„What?" kensi whispers while shaking her head vehemently.
„what do you mean with your Family? Deeks, what the hell is going on!?" she asks him confused and slightly angry. Not knowing what to answer her, he turns around to his family hoping for some help or assistance.
„Matthias here was in a team with us. As the team called it quits he and Chris took on a new identity." Alejandra explains her while stepping next to an unsure looking Deeks. But why did she call him Matthias? His name is Martin, Wait a second! Of course, new identity new name. I swear all those medications are making me dumb!
„That's why you said you had a family issue, and why he was half naked in your house?" kensi asks but she slowly seems to catch on.
„Exactly. And since the whole team was staying at my place, I needed to get you away from there before you could hear or see them. Chris saw that you wouldn't just go, so that's why he did what he did." Deeks tells her softly.
„So to hurry that here up a bit let's finish this off, shall we!? Are you going to go on a date with him!" Paul questions happily while the rest of their team only looks at him like he lost his damn mind.
„I don't know, he didn't asked me to." kensi answers him smiling slightly at their antics.
„Well, I would love to take you out on a date. So do you want to? Please?" Deeks quickly asks her hopefully. And of course she said yes to that!
„I swear I am the best at this!!" Paul exclaimed pretty proud that his prior statement had helped.
„Are you now?" they all ask him at once which honestly is really funny. They all have so many different characters but still they are kind of the same. It is really strange but fun and entertaining to watch.
„Well who of us is engaged?" Paul asks them mockingly in his defense.
„Technically, none of us!" Alejandra tells him with a shake of her head. And just like that we all got completely blendet out by them and their discussion started.
„I am engaged! Just because I didn't got down on my knee doesn't change the fact that i have a damn ring in my pocket!!" Paul tells them matter of factly!
„Matthew, the Apple of my Appletree, would you please tell that loser that you always only had eyes for me." Deeks questions an amused Matthew while batting his eyes at him.
„You didn't got down on your knees either, sorry sugar plumb." Matthew answers him in between laughter.
„Damn it!" Deeks says loudly which got us all laughing even more.
„Well since those idiots are to occupied, buttercup, would you please leave that ugly looking dickhead over there and move in with me? I even got down on my knees for you!!" Christian, the pilot, question Matthew next.
Alejandra and Chris only look on with laughter and giggles as the others are bickering around like nothing.
„Hey! That's so not fair!" Christian shouts out as Paul just picks him up from the floor without any problems even though he had gotten operated on only a few days prior.
„Please? Marry me and ignore those idiots baby!" Paul asks even going as far as getting on his knees himself.
„Wait! Are you for real?" Matthew asks surprised as Paul pulls out a small ring box from his pocket.
„I am on my knees baby, of course I mean it!" he answers him hopefully.
„Yes!!" he answers him happily before his eyes turn into slits.
„You are such an ass for making me Wait so Long!" Matthew scolds him right afterwards.
„What do you say about a double wedding?" Chris asks Alejandra with wiggling eyes before pulling her flash against his chest.
My heart literally skipped a few beats after hearing that! And just as if both of them heard it, they immediately look towards me with worry laced eyes.
„Matthew ultrasound! Chris help me with the wound!" Alejandra says and Matthew ran out of the room while her and Chris came to me.
„Blood pressure is rising, his heart beat is pretty low." Chris tells an examining Alejandra while everyone else looks on confused. Well not their former team though, they look pretty worried. But why?
„He starts to bleed!" alejandra shouts out just as Matthew came back with the ultrasound machine.
„You guys need to leave the room!" Deeks and Paul say at the same time, already pushing everyone out of the hospital room. That's when I finally look down to my chest only to see a lot of blood.
„We need to sedate him, Matthew get the intubation set ready!" Alejandra instructs.
„Ok! Listen, we are getting you to sleep and look what is going on in your chest. Something isn't working as it should. Just relax and we will do the rest." she tells me with a warm hand on my face. Her beautiful face was the last thing that I saw before falling asleep.
