The Mistake

Mitchell POV

I told everything to my friends.

They were kinda freaked out.

"Wow, Calvin showed his true colors today," joked Nathan.

"And I have a plan," Jonas said.

"And what is that?" asked Jason.

"Harryy and Ron used the Polybots potion in 2nd year....... How about Mitchell turns into Calvin and acts like the real him?" said Jonas.

My friends nodded in excitement.

"But... It's wrong........."

"It's WRONGER that he treated you that way and is being a faker to MARIE,'

"I'll do it."

We sneaked into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, and found the potion, that's still as fresh as ever.

"I need a part of Calvin."

"Are you kidding me? He keeps his toenail clippings on the bathroom floor." Jonas walked out, and got out a toenail.

"It's defeintly Calvins."

We added it to the potion, and I drank it.

Calvin is visiting his family for Christmas, but I'll just say he chaneged his mind.

I transformed into dirty blonde, brown eyed, tall, pale Calvin. I changed into Slytherin robes and walked out of the door. I walked straight into the library.

Sure enough, Marie was there. 

She was reading, as always.

I took the book out of her hands.

"GO AWAY MALFOY," she said, as she turned around, her face in shock.

"Calvin?" 

"Why do you always read? PAY ATTENTION TO ME. " I said in Calvin's voice, lifting Marie up by her button down shirts collar. She's really light.

This feels so wrong. I felt like I just had to kiss her, but that isn't a part of the plan.

She frowned upon me. 

"Let go, Calvin." she said calmly.

"So you can get back to your book?" I sneered.

"Calvin, you know why I read. Cause I'm not wanted by many people. I thought you understood."

I put her down. 

"Well stop thinking about yourself. Think about others. Stop being so selfish. "

She took a deep breath. 

"I don't know what happened to you, Calvin. But this isn't the Calvin I know." She got her books, and left in a hurry. 

I caught her by the collar.

"You seriously thought it was over. Wow. And you almost got into Ravenclaw. Stupid girl."

Marie did the last thing I expected her to do. She teared up. 

"BLOODY MURDER! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED, CALVIN!" 

She got out of my hold, and ran away, crying.

Gulp.

I feel so bad.

~SOME TIME LATER AFTER POTION WEARS OFF~

Marie POV

I rushed to my dorm room. I got my earbuds, and listened to Talk by Coldplay. "Muggle" MUSIC, but whatever.  Why would he act that way?

Oh yeah, forgot. I never keep any of the friends I get. 

~DAYS LATER BEFORE YULE BALL~

Calvin POV
I need Marie to come with me to the Yule Ball. That Mitchell will probably ask her too. So time to make him the rudest person ever.

I got a hair from his bright red  head and drank the potion.

But I had to find Marie. I turned into Mitchell, so she won't turn away from me. 

It was lunch time, and Marie sat by herself on the Slytherin table. I walked over to her.

i touched her. I felt her tense up.

"Hi," I said.

"Hi," she said hoarsely.

She was reading.

I took the book from her.

"You don't need this,"

"Yes I do. Give it back," she sounded weak.

"No, you don't. But you know what you do need? ME."

"Mitchell, we are friends, but you know that I need to read."

"God. You can't be serious. Books are just words. Words have no impact on people. Except mine." I tried for his "Girl winning" smirk.

"Mitchell, please come back when you are yourself again," Marie said.

"I am myself. I simply tried to be nice so you could feel hurt AGAIN."

"Congrats. You succeeded." she said, stomping out.

It worked.



~DAY BEFORE YULE BALL~


Marie Pov

I can't believe it.

Two of my friends turned out to be jerks.

Well look at my luck.

No one will go to the ball with me.

Whatever.

I was sitting in the courtyard, in the snow, reading about the challenges  I will face in the tornament. 

Suddenly, Calvin appears.

"Hi Marie," He said, that fake smile on his face.

I kept reading.

Seconds later, Mitchell ran over, in his winter attire.

"Hi, Marie,"

I close my book, and roll my eyes.

I cross my arms.

"Would both of you like to say something?"

"WILL YOU GO TO THE YULE BALL WITH ME?" They said at the same time.

I literally laughed out loud.

"Seriously? You expect me to forgive you like that? Not even a week has passed by. Mitchell and Calvin, you have both acted like jerks, but......"

They looked hopeful for a second.

"I'm going with neither of you."

They were in shock.

"But... the participants of the tornament MUST be accompani-" began Calvin.

"Well I'm going by myself, since both of you were so immature!" I stormed away.
