Chapter 2.

Pov Andy

I ran through the small paths on Mortal Island and let the evening sun shine on my face. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was free again, even though I still have to live with Rye and Brooklyn. I felt like a new person since we arrived on Mortal Island and finally enjoyed having some free time for me again. Where our new home was, there was a private beach and a very large garden with a small forest. I loved walking along the beach and watching the sun disappear behind the sea. That gave me a feeling of calm and freedom, which I have missed for weeks. As soon as we arrived on Mortal Island, a lot had changed. Me and Jack, no longer slept on the floor, or in a cold dark room. We slept in a room that was in the little villa that Sonny owned. Right next to our room are the Rye and Brooklyn rooms on the right and left. Of course, the two of us never let us out of sight, but at least there was now the opportunity to finally have some time for yourself.

"You seem to really like it here, or am I wrong?" Rye came up to me and stopped next to me. He also looked with wide eyes at the setting sun, which left and colored the sky through red, yellow and orange clouds. It was a really beautiful sight that enchanted even Rye.

"Yes, you can say that!" I mumbled and looked at the sea, which was slowly turning black and rustling softly to itself. I never thought that one day I would be able to see the sea, especially so close to me. I don't have the money to buy a vacation ticket and my parents kicked me out at home after I lost my job. Since then everything went wrong and it was very, very difficult for me to get back to a normal life.

"I like the sea and the beach. It is such a quiet and yet eventful place at the same time! "Said Rye and smiled again for the first time after a long time. At first I was a little scared because Rye never smiled, but then I calmed down and tried to concentrate on something else. I had had the same question in my head since we arrived, but had never dared to ask Rye.

"Why did we have to come here to such a forgotten place?" I asked in a trembling voice and quickly turned away again. I didn't want to look Rye in the eye in case he got angry about my question.

"Well, there is one person here who is targeting you and Jack. She has no good intentions with you and I initially agreed with the idea, but now that I know both of you, I have a guilty conscience if I leave you to the person! "Said Rye and luckily did not get angry like me all the time already thought.

"Who is this person?" I asked and Rye grabbed my hand.

"His name is Harper. He owns a global drug factory that sends goods to almost every country. He also has a lot of money as a result, and so many people work for him that I cannot tell you exactly how many there are. He is dangerous, he only thinks of himself and he wants to rule over anyone who doesn't follow him! "Rye explained through gritted teeth.

"And I wish I had never met him!" Rye pressed out angrily and then pulled me back to the villa behind him. When we got to the kitchen, Brooklyn and Jack had already made dinner and set the table. Then when we were all eating, Rye spoke.

"I want to remind you both that Harper is a very dangerous person and it is best not to run into him. Come always back on time in the house! "Said Rye and I and Jack just nodded.
