Chapter 4.

POV Jack

I was laying in my bed in my new room and for the first time felt like I was finally free. I felt good and for a moment I was no longer worried about the bad time, but then the door to my room opened and Brooklyn came in. He didn't look happy, but rather angry. He ran to the window and looked outside.

"How do you like it here Jack?" He asked me without turning around. I was startled for a brief moment.

"Actually, I like it very much here!" I replied and hesitated briefly. I didn't have a good feeling. Brooklyn is unpredictable and even if he looks happy, he can get angry from one moment to the next.

"I'm honestly worried about you and Andy. I think it was not a good idea to come here! "Brooklyn said and finally turned and looked at me.

"But why not? I thought hardly anyone knows the place here! "I looked at him questioningly and he turned back to the window. I didn't know what his problem was, he was happy to finally be here.

"I'm not sure if we're really safe here. Sonny also worked with Harper and I think something bad will happen soon! "Said Brooklyn and for a moment my heart skipped and I gasped.

"You mean Sonny and Harper could still be in contact?" I asked and he just nodded without looking at me. He looked outside at the wide sea and sighed for a little moment.

"I have no idea but I don't quite trust Sonny!" Said Brooklyn and turned back to me. I saw fear, sadness, and anger in his eyes. He was angry with Rye because he just trusted Sonny.

"But Rye and Sonny are best friends, aren't they?" I asked and he nodded.

"The two met during a job from Harper, or rather on a job from Harper!" Brooklyn said and I realized that his concerns were not neglected.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Harper finds out at some point that Sonny and Rye are best friends. He'll grab Sonny and god knows what to do with him, or better yet. He'll make him wait and see where we are! "Brooklyn murmured and sat on my bed.

"And I can't allow myself to be spotted by Harper. Neither did Rye. We'd all get in trouble! "Brooklyn said, looking into my eyes.

"I have no idea what to do either, but I have to do something, otherwise the worst will really happen!" With these words he reached for my hand.

"Please take care of yourself and Andy and stay on the property, then not so many bad things can happen!" With these words he let go of my hand and slowly got up.

"I'll talk to Rye about my worries too and hopefully he has a good idea that will help us all!" He said and then left my room.
