Everything Happens For a Reason

Waking up, I realise that Ricky isn't there. I shout his name, but he isn't there. Great, he never gave me his number. I guess he's gone out to the shops then so it gives me the opportunity to search his Instagram. @rickyowen. Pretty short but snappy I guess. Wow, he has a lot of photos. What I realise is that he literally just posted a picture of himself buying bread. The caption being 'ready to make breakfast for me and my new mans'. Suddenly there's a huge spam of comments from a girl called @sarahkay28. "Already moved on? Feel sorry for your new 'mans'", "Lol you literally texted me last night saying you want me back. Need to find out who this guy is to tell him.' I was disgusted. Was it true? Did he really text her? Just when I thought this was the guy of my dreams. That's when I hear the door close. Ricky doesn't come upstairs, instead I hear him start making breakfast. So I go downstairs and have a face to face conversation.
"Hey gorgeous."
I look at him, he knows I'm furious. I show him the comments.
"Woah, woah, woah, Ryan I never-"
"Show me your phone."
"What?"
"I said show me your phone!"
He unlocks it and gives it to me. I check his messages and there is no message to a Sarah Kay. We sit down.

"I'm so sorry.. It's just..."
"Don't worry. I'm just glad that you don't think I would ever do that."
"Why would she say something like that?"
"Why do you think I broke up with her?"
I smile and he brings me breakfast.
"She's a hypocrite. A lying, cheating, stupid woman who is about to be blocked from my Instagram."
We talk for a while, until he takes a photo of me eating breakfast.
"I look awful!!"
"No you don't."
"I'm using it for my screensaver."
I smile.
"If you love me at my worst then I can't ever fault you."

We went out for a walk that day. I swear I fall for everything Ricky does. The way he walks is a dream I swear and the way he bites his lip. Little twitches that he does just make me smile. I didn't know this but he wears fake glasses and they make him look even more fit than he already is. Ricky is the man for me, and I won't ever let him go.
"Hey please can we go into Forever 21? There's this jumper that would totally suit you?" I try and convince Ricky.
"Uhh, not now, we'll come back later."
"But that means we will have to get a cab back, especially if we go-"
He grips my hand.
"Okay."
He seems nervous. I mean, I know forever 21 isn't his shop but, that's when we see her. Sarah Kay. Looking right at us. She's with Drew, who I soon realise was a good friend with this girl.
"Oh look, it's the guy who moves on ASAP."
Drew looks at me, his jaw dropped lower than he had ever got his jeans down.
"Don't worry hun, I'll be back tonight, like you asked."
Ricky rubs his face with his hands and laughs.
"You have no proof, hun."
"Actually, hun, I do."
She holds up her phone, in which I see a message from 'Ricky', reading:
'Hey, I miss you. Please come back tonight, I'll make it up to you, promise x'
What she doesn't realise is that if I look at the number, it's actually completely different to Ricky's, and I realise that the number in her phone is actually Drew's.
"Oh that's funny, hun. That's Drew's number, I was actually dating him if you didn't know. Some people are so idiotic."
I take Ricky's hand and we walk off into the menswear. Ricky smiles at me and I smile back.
"See what I mean?"

We ended up buying that jumper by the way. He really suits it. If I'm honest it's super nice having a boyfriend who you can dress. That's when I get a text from Bianca.
"Hey!! How's hot boy? And I think I've found a queen myself! You have to meet her... Her name is Penny Matthews and she is gorgeous!"
I tell Ricky and we arrange to meet them tonight in New York, New York.
"I can get you drunk off of Cranberry Daiquiri again and we can have some fun."
He takes me in his arms and we kiss. It was weird being our first time in public but it felt right.
