My Hero Academia Oneshots (/Fluff/Angst and stuff)

🥀Kirishima x Hanahaki Reader Angst🌺

You were hunched over the toilet in the girls bathroom, as your throat burned and swelled. The coughing fit began, right when lunch started.

"Shit.." you said to yourself, as the red Amaryllis petals fell to the floor, blood and saliva covering them. A string of saliva hung from you mouth, as you swallowed the remaining blood. 

You stood up and flushed the toilet, and exited the stall. You washed you mouth out, and looked at yourself in the mirror. The tears spilled from your eyes.

 "I'm gonna die." You said to yourself. And all because you didn't have the courage to confess to him sooner.

~Flashback: 1 week~

Class had almost ended, you were looking at Kirishima through most of it though. You adored him. You wanted to tell him, but you couldn't. 

You wanted to be able to run into his arms and say that you would always be there for him, but you just couldn't gather up enough courage to. 

The bell rang, and all the student were dismissed, and headed to the U.A dormitories. As always, you were the last one to leave.

You packed up your books, notebook, pencils, and slung your bag over your shoulder. As you were about to turn the corner, you saw Mina and Kirishima. 

You hid behind the wall to avoid being seen. Then they started talking. You weren't one to eavesdrop, but you couldn't just walk right past them while the were talking in private.

"So... Kirishima, I have something I wanted to tell you." Mina said, looking down at the floor. "I.. I really like you, a lot. And I was hoping, you'd go out with me?" She said, and looked up at him with a smile.

"You know Mina, it's pretty cool you gathered up the courage to confess to me, your always so bold, and I admire that about you." Kirishima said. "And of course I'll go out with you!" He said with a smile. 

You felt a pain in your chest. You were to late. Your love was lost, and there was no getting him back now. Your throat burned. Your ran to the bathroom as fast as you could, with the urge to vomit. 

You ran into the bathroom and opened the stall, you coughed and hacked, until something came out of your throat. It was a flower bud, but how?

"What the hell?" You said. "How did this get in there?" You said to yourself.

~Flashback End~

And here we are in the present, Mina and Kiri we're officially dating. They were living the best days of their lives, while I was living my last. 

I can't believe that I went from coughing up tiny buds to full on Amaryllis flowers in just a week. And the fact that if I didn't confess to Kirishima, I'd die. 

Lunch was almost over, and I left the bathroom, distraught. I was getting ready to walk back to my classroom, went I bumped into someone, well, two people actually. We all went tumbling backwards.

I looked up, only to see Mina and Kirishima. All the sad feelings started to wash over me again. I held back my tears, the last thing I wanted was for Kirishima to see me cry.

"Hey guys.." My voice cracked. "Oh, hey (Y/n!)" Mina greeted. "Sorry for bumping into you, me and Kiri were just talking, and I guess we got a little distracted!" She said, and rubbed the back of her neck

"It's fine.." I said, avoiding eye contact and blinking back my tears. "Oh, guess what! Me and Kiri made our relationship official!" Mina said, cheerily. "That's great.." I said, as the tears started to spill again.

I started coughing. 'Oh no, not here' I thought to myself. Coughing soon turned to hacking. "(Y/n)? What's happening? Are you okay?" Kirishima asked. The petals started to fall. 

Kirishima's concerned expression turned into fear. "Are those Amaryllis petals?" He asked. A crowd was gathering around us, trying to see what was happening. 

"Is she okay?" 

"What's wrong with her?"

"Is she throwing up..flowers?!" 

"It's called hanahaki." Shiozaki said, coming out of the crowd. Everyone directed their attention towards her. "What is hanahaki?" Tetsutetsu asked.

"Hanahaki is a disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. Unless she confesses to her love, the vines will overgrow, and take over her body." 

Everyone gasped. "(Y/n), who do you have a crush on? You gotta tell them how you-" "IT'S YOU!" I yelled out. Everyone went quiet.

"W-What?" He said, confused. "That can't be true." He said. "It is true." I said, in between coughs. "I've liked you for a while now, I wanted to confess to you, but I wasn't brave enough, and then, Mina beat me to it." I said.

"I tried to be happy for you, I tried to just let it go already, but I couldn't, and that's when this all started-" I was interrupted suddenly. I started coughing up blood. "Take me...outside..." I managed to say, fainter than a whisper.

The coughing fit started up, this time, bloody vines started to grow out from inside of my throat. Kiri scooped me up in his arms, and ran to the courtyard, as everyone followed us.

He ran as fast as he could, and placed me out on a hill. I coughed, as more vines grew from my arms and legs.

"(Y/n)! What do we do?! How do we save you?!" Kirishima yelled, and the tears spilled from his red eyes.

"There's nothing you can do. The only way you could save me now is if you returned my feeling." I said.

"I-I'm so sorry.." He said, and kneeled down to hold my hand. "It's not your fault, it's mine." I said.

"It's okay, I'm glad I got to adore you from afar." I said. My eyes turned white. "Man, I'm getting pretty...sleepy..." I said, struggling to breathed. 

I closed my eyes. 

It's....so dark
