Izuku's P.O.V
Time seems to go slower when you're bored. Class was no where near over, in fact, it feel like it just started. I just wanted it to end. There was just something that made me giddy. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, I wanted to talk to (Y/n) more. Ever since I met her, I knew she was special. And now, I can't get her out of my mind, it's driving me crazy! I wanted to tell her how I feel, but I was too afraid she would reject me. She's so strong and amazing, and I'm just a weak crybaby. I don't even understand why she wanted to be friends with me.
Class seemed to go even slower than usual. I looked up at the clock. 11:59. 1 more minute until Lunchtime. The clock finally hit 12:00 and the bell rang. Everyone flooded the hallway. I searched the crowd for (Y/n) when I finally found her. "(Y-Y/n)! Over here!" I called out to her. She turned around and greeted me. "Hey Izuku! I was looking for you! Wanna have lunch together?" She said with the cutest smile I have ever seen. I felt heat rise to my cheeks. "S-sure, that sounds cool!" I said. She turned her back away from me and peeked over her shoulder. "Let's eat under the big tree outside." She said, and started walking. I speed walked to keep up with her. When we got to the big tree, we sat down and pulled out our lunches. We chatted together about random things. We made jokes and laughed together. Then it got quiet. She averted her eyes from me and looked down at her bento.
"Something wrong (Y/n)?" I asked her. "Well...um..." she hesitated. "Izuku, do you ever feel weak, even when people tell you you're strong?" She asked, avoiding eye contact with me. "Do you ever feel like everybody loves you, but nobody likes you. And they try to spare your feelings and lie right to your face, even though they know you're weak?" She said. I felt my heart sink at her words. She looked up at me, and I looked back at her. Our eyes locked. "Oh! Never mind, I'm being silly!" She said with a smile, although I'm not sure it was a real one. "You wouldn't know about that anyway, you're actually stronger than me!" She said and laughed. Just then the bell rang. "Oh, time to go back to class!" She said.
We both stood up and walked back to class. We got inside and Mr. Aizawa started his lesson. It was hard to focus. My mind kept wandering back to what (Y/n) said. What did she mean by everybody loves you, but nobody likes you? I was so confused, but sad at the same time. How could (Y/n) think she's weak? She's the strongest person I know. Heck, I think she might be stronger than Kacchan. Thinking about it made my heart hurt. "Midoriya." I jumped as I heard my name called from the front of the classroom. And the voice belonged to non other than Mr. Aizawa. "Can you repeat what I just said?" He said. "Um..no sir, I wasn't paying attention." I said at I hung my head. "If you wanna become a great hero, you should learn to listen to the thing I say." He said sternly. "Yes Mr. Aizawa." I said. He then went back to teaching. I tried to focus this time, I couldn't let my mind wander like that again.
Time skip to the end of school
I walked down the corridor and out of the school gate, as my mind continued to betray me. That's when I heard some people talking behind a nearby building. It sounded like a female voice and two male voices. I peeked from behind the building, and I saw (Y/n) and two other guys. "I-I told you, I don't know what you want with me! Just leave me alone!" She yelled. "Aww, just come home with us." One guy said. "Yeah, we promise, we'll treat ya just right." The other guy said as he grabbed (Y/n)'s wrist. "Let go of me!" She screamed as she tried to escape from the man's grasp. "Hey! Let her go!" I yelled, and without thinking, I jumped from behind the building. "Hey look, this shrimp is trying to defend his lady!" One of the guys taunted. "We're gonna let you off with a little warning, if you forget you saw any of this, we'll let ya go."
One of the guys arms turned into blades. Yikes! That's a pretty scary quirk. "You got to the count of three." I stood in place with a determined look on my face. "1" I stood my ground. "2" I wasn't gonna move. "3" here we go. The guy with the blade arms charged at me, while the other guy stood back, still holding (Y/n)'s wrist. "Well, we warned you!" When he was close, I charged a one for all blast at him. (Y/n) and the guy put their arms over their faces to shield them from the dust. I saw a pure look of terror in his eyes. "Never touch my (Y/n)." I said with an angry expression. "Hey, you know what, you can take the lady, just don't hurt me!" He ran away, leaving his friend behind. "Are you okay." I asked (Y/n). She broke into tears.
"No! This is what I mean! If I was stronger, I wouldn't have needed your help! I'm so weak, I can't even protect myself!" She cried. "I'm so pathetic." She said. My heart ached. "N-no! You're not weak!" I said. She looked up at me "you're so strong! You have so much potential! Please don't talk bad about yourself like that!" I yelled at her in anger, and heartbreak, and sadness. "But.." she trailed off. "I'm not as strong as you, or Todoroki or Bakugou, or even anyone in the class." She said. "You're right." I said. She looked at me surprised "You're even stronger." I said. "When you talk bad about yourself, it makes me feel bad.
To think that someone as amazing as you thinks things like that about yourself." I said. She stared right into my eyes. "Thanks Izuku. I really needed that." She said with a smile. My heart melted at the sight of her smile. "I'll walk you home, you must be shaken up after all that." I said "Okay." And with that, we walked home together. I'm glad that such an amazing girl like (Y/n) in my life.
Oh lord this is so awful (>_<)
