Set it closed to digest
Distill the spirit of wine to half
Pour those off as they are good for nothing

But if a pearl is thus dissolved
It can no longer be bought to body

Thickened with filings of iron
A teaspoon may be given for a dose
If disease be cold, acute or gross

Separate such silver with aqua fortis
Powder finely in clean iron mortar
