Deciding she wasn't so tired after all, Tracy slipped off her shoes and nylons and padded down the hall to the kitchen to find a glass of milk since she hadn't eaten much. Not that the food hadn't been good, but having two men glaring at each other the whole time, and staring at her, had made her feel uncomfortable and had made her lose her appetite.
In the kitchen she poured her milk, and hearing voices in the observatory, she headed that way.
When she walked in, Craig and her uncle were facing the windows, looking out at the moon.
"Am I interrupting?" Tracy asked, walking in.
The two men whipped around guiltily like they had been talking about her.
"No, of course not Tracy," her uncle smiled.
"I thought you were tired," Craig accused.
"I was, that was why I slept in the car, sorry about that by the way," she apologized.
"No problem," he responded.
She headed to them. "It is such a great view, from up here," she added.
Her uncle laughed. "Yes, I am sure it is much better from up here."
She sipped on her milk and then turned to Craig. He grinned, and wiped some milk off her lip, sending an electric bolt through her at his soft touch.
"Milk mustache," he told her.
She smiled shyly at him. "Thanks."
He smiled at her in return, then turned back to the window. Why had he done that? He asked himself. Because it had been too tempting. If the doc hadn't been in there, he probably would have kissed her, and shown her how a real man kisses. But would she have accepted his kiss?
Tracy glanced over at the TV monitors then and frowned. There were more than the two guards on the roof, and several more men were climbing the fence.
"Uncle, I suggest you call for backup, we have company," she said and ran out the door.
Craig looked to the monitors and swore. "Doc, set the alarm and stay in here, and call the cops," he added and headed after Tracy.
Tracy ran out the front door, closing it behind her, and scaling the trellis by the living room window, she made it to the roof. No one seemed to notice her as she snuck across the roof. A man stood just in front of her, his back to her, a semi-automatic rifle in his hands, he was watching something in the distance, not paying attention to her. She looked around and noticed that the two FBI agents set to guard the place were down on the roof. Whether they were dead or not, Tracy didn't know, but she didn't have time to find out.
Standing behind the man, she reached up and squeezing his neck in the right spot, he dropped unconscious to the roof. Taking his belt, she then tied him up and dragged him behind the rooftop air conditioner. Another man heard the scuffle and decided to investigate, but he didn't make it far, as he too ended up like his friend. Craig appeared by her side then.
"Nice work," he whispered to her, then pointed to two men that were guarding the corners of the roof. "You take the left," he told her and took off silently.
They took the men out at the same time, and then they heard sirens in the distance. Backup was on the way, but Tracy didn't wait for them. She was watching the helicopter that was fast approaching and planning to land on the helipad that was next to her uncle's home.
Tracy stood up, exposed to the men who had semi-automatic guns in the copter. They spotted her and began to fire. She ducked behind the air conditioner, and grabbing a semi-automatic from one of the dead men, she shot back, knocking one of the men out of the copter, and down into the canyon below. The other man aimed his gun at her, shooting angry shots, not caring who he hit. Suddenly there were cops on the roof, but Tracy ignored them, she was too busy taking aim at the man in the helicopter.
