THE WIND softly blew as they watched the sunset, orange and pink filled the sky as the sun slowly lowered behind the mountains.

"it's beautiful." luna rested her head against grayson's bicep as they watched.

"very." he agreed and kissed the top of her head.

the couple were waiting for ethan to come home with a very special person.

lisa dolan.

he knows lisa will adore luna as grayson hasn't had the best luck in relationships.

it just seems to come easier for ethan.

he's nervous as it's their first time meeting. he knows that he shouldn't be nervous because it will go fine.

the sound of a car stopping in the driveway made luna's breath hitch.

"don't be nervous, she'll love you." grayson quickly kissed her lips and they walked inside.

"here i'll take your bags." you could hear ethan speak and then lisa popped around from the corner.

"grayson!" she smiled happily and opened her arms.

he walked over to her and hugged her, "i've miss you mom." she kissed his cheeks and her eyes landed on luna.

"hi i'm l—" the raven haired girl was cut off my lisa wrapping her arms tightly around her neck.

"i know who you are." she mumbled into luna's shoulder.

luna held onto her and let out a deep breath, it's been so long since she's seen her mother and she almost forgot what a mother's hug felt like.

"i've heard so much about you!" lisa pulled away and held onto luna's face.

"grayson your right." grayson looked at his mother and then back to luna in confusion. "she is gorgeous." luna blushed and smiled.

"it's nice to meet you." luna spoke up and lisa let go of her face.

"i'm so glad your here, now we can go do girls stuff." she winked and luna laughed softly.

"ma, if you don't mind i would like a minute of luna's time." grayson asked and his mom waved him off.

"go for it, i'm gonna go to sleep anyway." grayson and luna said goodnight to lisa and ethan followed her into the bedroom to help unpack.

"i told you." luna shoved his shoulder softly as they entered his bedroom.

"she's such an angel." luna commented as she made luna feel like she was such a big part of the family.

"she's happy that i've found someone. ethan usually does better in this department as i have issues, if that makes sense." he mumbled the last part.

luna nodded and didn't question him any further.

luna crawled next to him and she tangled her small legs with his big ones.

they felt good like this.

"i wish you could've met my dad." grayson sadly spoke and luna's head shot up quickly.

she watched how grayson's eyes filled with tears when he spoke about his dad.

it hurt her heart as she doesn't like seeing him so upset. "hey," she softly said and held onto the side of his face.

"you shouldn't cry. he's in a much better place now. he wouldn't want you crying, he wants you to go out and do things with your life. it's why he raised you so well, so when you got older you would know how to take on any challenge. i'm sure he's watching over you and he much be so proud of what you've achieved."

grayson stopped crying and he kissed her lips softly.

her lips tasted like her cherry lip balm she was always applying. he couldn't get enough of it.

he was so happy that he has luna, what she said made him feel better and like he might be making his dad proud.

he didn't understand how luna understood him so well because he's gotten used to hiding emotions under a smile.

in that perfect moment when her lips were on his, he realised something.

he loves her. he is in love with her.

he pulled away from her lips with a big smile, "i love you luna." her lips pressed against his once more.

"i love you too."
