Always Running

She was going crazy. Glancing left and right, she darted across the street. In the safety of the dark shadows, she allowed herself to relax marginally. But the peace did not last. It never did. Hearing the beginnings of a word, she started running once more.

Yes, she was definitely going crazy.

In the beginning, she tried telling people about the voices, but they just stared at her like she was crazy. She knew she wasn’t though; the voices were very much real. Once, she had tried just standing still, but the voice killed someone near her, and she was back to fleeing. She couldn’t stop, no matter how exhausted she was. There was no escaping the voice, but if she could run somewhere far enough away, she would not kill any innocent bystanders by stopping.

Then, she knew, her life would end. Her life would end when she stopped running. And, to be honest, she was looking forward to it.

This can mean many things, if only you analyze it. (I sounded like my English teacher...)
